Has anyone out there been denied the first time then approved after the second try? I am so nervous I cant stand it. I hope to find somthing out by tomorrow. I have done all my tests and this is the only thing holding me back. I can sleep because this is so heavy on my mind. :straight I am trying to be positive. kguill73

Well i am doing the waiting game now. The insurance received my paper work and it is being processed. I hope I get approved this time.

I know now the waiting game begins. I am so anxious i cant stand it.

Thanks Zan I am keeping my fingers crossed this is the only thing I am waiting on then my doctor will schedule me for surgery! I am glad I joined this group. I will keep everyone updated:) I am keeping a positive attitude. Hoping and Praying Karla

Maggie you have already taken the first step don't stop now. I too was in the same boat and now I can't wait to get the surgery done. I didnt know how much I wanted it done until the insurance denied me the first time. I am determined more then ever to get it done. There are so many positives. One being the most important your health:) Good luck and big hugs you can do it!!!

I did it!!! MY bmi is at a 41:) I just did my psych exam this afternoon and they will submit it to my doctor by wednesday. I a not sure what comes after that. I gues the approval letter from UHC. Then a date for surgery. I am so excited.

Thank you I go in tomorrow to get rechecked and I have been praying all weekend and know this is the right thing for me.

Just back and knee pain. I was 4 pounds shy of being approved. So I am hoping by monday I will be over at 40. Just sucks I really want this to happen.

I was denised by united health care for my bmi being at a 39.1. I am going to get weighed again and cross my fingers that they will approve me. Has anyone out there had this problem and was the outcome a good one? Discouraged
