And it was awesome!
I have been resisting puréeing meat--just the idea of it grosses me out. I made a delicious smelling pork loin for dinner for my family though, and decided I would try to blend it with some broth. It was basically the consistency of tuna or ham salad....not terribly appetizing, but not horrible either. I didn't care how it looked, though because it tasted amazing! I puréed a small amount of steamed green Beans as well, which were also delicious.
It is probably a mental thing, but it was so much more satisfying to me to have the same food as my family. I even puréed up some of the leftovers for me to eat over the next couple of days. So, if you are resisting puréeing meats, like I was, give it a try!

I am so excited for you! I a 5-6 pounds away from that particular goal and itching to make it.

for the first time in a long time i got on the scale and it said 199 lbs. surgery date was 12-11-15. started at 270 and a little under 5 months i am 70 pounds down and super excited. still more work to be done but loving my decision to go ahead and change my life with sleeve surgery.

I am doing very well! For being held up in a hotel at least until Wednesday (fingers crossed) also today's my birthday & mothers day. I'm feeling like it's the best gift I've ever done for myself! Happy mom's day to all! thank you all for thinking of me!

Hello all....Today going through the bowel prep! I'm nervous. I live in Alaska, my doctor is in Anchorage and I live 1 1/2 hours away, my doctor requires that I stay in Anchorage at least 1 week after surgery at least until my one week follow up. My husband and I are getting settled into a our room. This bowel prep is killing me. My birthday is Sunday, hope I'm feeling up to at least a movie on Sunday.

I'm pureed right now. I try to incorporate different foods. Hummus is my thing. But chick peas havery alot of carbs. Next week is soft food. That is when I think it will get better for me. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

I am 6+ weeks out and feel great. My energy level did not return until at least 4+ weeks post-op. No worries.......it will happen for you. Good luck to you and me.

I took 2 days off work this month back to back because I was physical and mental exhausted.

When I'm feeling tired I drink a Protein drink, what kind are you drinking? I'm on Premier Protein strawberry

Waking up in the morning empowered & excited about the new day & the events that it holds (..and not worrying abt what I'm going to wear!)

Shopping in my own closet...I'd not even been in my own closet for a LONG time...I have so many cute clothes that actually fit!

So many best moments..........but knowing I made the best decision to enable me to achieve my personal best. Also finding this supportive online community.

there is no aspect of my life that is not improved since surgery, and when you take that overall picture it adds up to me being one grateful girl.
but probably the best thing is the hope I have at having my life on a different trajectory than it was on before.

Best moment was when my 9 year old daughter hugged me and noticed she could finally touch her fingers when wrapping her arms around my waist!!

I am three days post surgery, when I woke up I smiled and said to my self "I actually did it" then I kvetched about my pain!!!!!

Being that I was 560+ pounds before, I've had MANY fantastic feelings since my op...
The physical changes...
The mental changes...
The not being dead and stuff..
Too many to list really...
But as far as 'the best'?
I truly believe that 'the best' is yet to come...

I am glad I'm able to do simple things like mopping the floor and going shopping without sitting down and taking breaks because of my back pain. Now I can walk for miles at one time without sitting down!

God, there have been a lot of great moments.... right now the first one that comes to mind is finishing my first half marathon two weeks ago. *I* ran a half marathon! Me!

Surgery 5/3....and I can't wait for all these moments! You all are making today's Protein drinks slide right down Thanks for the positivity!!
