  1. Hi there Quyrah. There is a section on the homepage specific to "sleeves" where you can get some more info. However, if you click on the hyperlink (the blue word that says sleeve) it will take you to sleevetalk, a kind of a sister site to this one. If you're thinking about the sleeve, you might want to check them out. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Howdy! Wow! That is the number one movie on my must-see list. It's supposed to be a low-budget indie in the vein of "The Blair Witch Project". This movie has quite the cult following!! Gah!! I wanna see this movie!! Me tooo! Except when I wake up, there's an obese puggle crowding me! I'll second that emotion.
  3. Post in either, or both. The two aren't mutually exclusive or anything (people say the same thing about me and "being cool"). Very nice pics, Fanny!
  4. Hi Shelley. You might have better luck finding somebody local by looking in the "local support groups" forum on the main page. Likewise, in the "doctors and hospitals" forum, you'll probably have a better chance of finding somebody else banded by Dr. Weaver.
  5. Counting everything (office fees, anesthesia, doc fees, etc.) I had to pay out about $3,000.
  6. Hi Suzy, welcome to lapbandtalk. You are a brave, proactive soul to undertake the pre-op diet before you have to, lol. Good for you. I have my fingers crossed that your process will be speedy. Good luck!
  7. Welcome aboard, treat! Glad to have ya.
  8. My bodyfat% certainly needs some reform. I'm still losing weight, but I need to be lean, dammit!! Shush! Nobody out-conservatives me. Maybe one, but we don't say the name in this thread, remember?
  9. Oh, I totally understand her wanting to let it go. Her life must have been relatively quiet for many years and now.....all the troubles anew. However, that's a separate issue. Polanski already pled guilty and fled, avoiding at least some of his punishment. My issue is "why is Hollywood closing ranks around this guy"? He hasn't even had a revelant film in decades. IDK......
  10. That's great news, Linda. Take care, rest up like you should and focus on healing for the next few days. Now the real work starts!!
  11. Hi Nikki, welcome aboard. You might have better luck finding a doc in your specific area if you look in the "doctors and hospitals" subforum on the main page. Also, you might look in the "local support groups" subforum. If you find a group local to you, then maybe you can ask some of them if they can recommend somebody. Is that as clear as mud? lol. Anyway, good luck to ya!!

You're probably distracted by your cool NSV. Be careful!! Tight = dangerous (IMO).
  13. PJTP: What's the deal with some celebrities defending Roman Polanski? He drugged, raped, and sodomized a 13 yr. old girl, pled down to a lesser charge, and then fled to France. What exactly is the debate over letting this cat go??
  14. Hi, welcome, Kammie. You might have better luck in finding a specific group if you check out the "local support groups" subforum on the home page. It breaks down those groups by geographical location. Good luck, and try to get those pics up!
  15. Hope you get some good news from your new insurance company, pokes!
  16. Wow! October 16th is right around the corner! Congrats!
  17. Hi Kerry. I had to do the 6 month thing myself. It's a pain, but worth it. Hang in there.

I read that the movie will be a straight up action movie...that they're not planning on making it campy like the TV show. Ah well.....
  19. Hi Laurie. First of all, hang in there. Losing 12 lbs is great. Is there a "magic number" your doc or insurance set before you have your surgery? You're doing fine. Everybody has, to some degree, a little apprehension regarding the surgery. It's totally normal.....so no worries! Again, just hang in there. Good luck!
  20. *whistles while walking away * I'm NOT going to comment on that, heehee.
  21. Hey, FIT, welcome. It's very exciting to finally have a date, isn't it? October will be here before you know it. Good luck!
  22. Hey Sarah, we'll all keep our fingers crossed for you! Good luck!!
  23. Hi harbottled. Have you checked in the "local suppoet groups" section on the home page? You can search by geographical location there. Give it a try!
  24. Hi Melissa. Congrats on making a decision to regain some hold on your life. We're glad to have you here. Good luck!
  25. Because I inadvertantly left off Diva AGAIN, lol: Sounds like you are doing the right thing! We expect that of you, you know, lol.
