  1. LOL....whatever.......do you burn a lot of calories when you're rampaging through downtown Tokyo, knocking down buildings and such??
  2. Hey Frogstar, I just wanted to let you know that losing a pound / week is not too shabby at all!! It sounds cliche', but losing this weight is not a sprint, it's a marathon. Slow and steady wins the race. Hang in there!! Good luck!
  3. At the risk of revealing myself to be intellectually challenged, I <heart> The Onion.
  4. Sorry, I cannot speculate on your husband's motives.....Guy code, ya know.
  5. She voted for me. Thanks Beth. Maybe 2012 will be my year.
  6. Hope it all goes well, Ginger. Good luck on the running time....It takes me more than 10 minutes to even think about running a mile. Strangely though, they both make me break out into a sweat.
  7. Yup, I'm afraid you are smack dab in the middle of "bandster hell", mz. It sucks......but the good news is that it gets easier as you progress to more substantial food. It generally takes several fills to really get restriction. Even better news: You can totally do this!! -23 lbs is an awesome start. Hang in there!
  8. Hey, congrats, shakia! Good luck!!
  9. Hey there DianaA. Welcome to lapbandtalk. It's great that you found a good doctor. Good Luck!
  10. Thanks for ruining the mental image for me, Jac!
  11. I don't really know how to define a "good" sports bra, but if you ladies send me the pictures, I might have some recommendations. *eyebrow wiggle*
  12. As long as it keeps the puppies of America safe, I'm all for it.
  13. Remember, the new guidelines are 15:2.... 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 5......I bet it was LOADS of fun!! As a former CPR instructor, I bet they didn't tell you when you do the Heimlich manuver, the person OFTEN vomits.....so if somebody is choking in a restaurant, point them AWAY from your table if you try and save them.
  14. Wait...you mean they serve food there?
  15. I suspect she's trying to spin herself in a more sympathetic manner. Also, I predict she'll plug her "donations" website.
  16. I think that link says it all.
  17. You can click "ignore" on any poster, and you will not be able to directly view anything they post. However, if somebody "quotes" the ignored poster, you can still view it (in the gray box). Does that explain anything, or did I confuse you even more? I often have that effect on women. I suspect it's the chloroform... I don't think any sane person would wish any harm to any of them....IMO, the people that are making death threats are as looney as the octo mom.
  18. Not too long ago, a high school senior wrote an impassioned letter to the editor of the Texarkana paper imploring parents not to let their children read any of the Harry Potter series, since author JK Rowling was an admitted witch. Her basis?? An article written by The Onion. I laughed for a month about that. Poor girl, putting her name in print and her foot in her mouth at the same time.
  19. Agreed. She is quite clinically insane. She is very tough......but she's still a looney toon.
  20. I always wondered that too. I know the sleeve isn't a surgery that relies solely on malabsorption, but I always wondered with the RnY and DS how you halt the process when you get to where you want to be.* *there may be a very easy answer to this....I haven't researched very much on either of these two surgeries because malabsorption has always kinda spooked me.
  21. Nice to know that Alfie's keepin' it classy!
  22. But she didn't use it for living expenses (as per her mother). If she helped even with a little of the rent, maybe her mom wouldn't be losing the house. I feel REALLY bad for her mom. Allred!!! LOLOLOLOL Sounds like she's going to ask all the docs to donate pro bono services. I wonder if she'll be talking to any plastic surgeons?
  23. Too late! Mwahhaahahahahaha
  24. Hmmmmm....well that's one way of looking at it. Whatcha get the BF for his birthday? Or is it too personal to talk about here, hmmmmm? Get it? Get it? PS- I'm talking about sex. Sometimes my subtlety does me in.
  25. Hmmmmm....I'll give it a look-see when I wake up today. That's as much of a commitment as I'll give at 0345. What are you doing up anyway? Baby-feeding time?
