Rancher being sued by illegal immigrants
*thread hijack - sorta.... I just read where Phoenix is rated the #2 kidnapping city in the world...only Mexico City is worse. But don't worry, it's mostly illegal-on-illegal crime.

Do you remember the Chandra Levy D.C Murder?
All that stuff would have been in evidence, where it'll be preserved. The technology of DNA recognition is changing so fast that law enforcement tries to preserve EVERYTHING, not knowing what could possibly be used in the future. *total thread hijack, but I saw on TV awhile ago that Dr. Baden (the famous forensic pathologist) was talking about how the police screwed up the Nicole Brown Simpson / Ronald Goldman crime scene. Baden said that if the police had cordoned off / closed the crime scene then they probably would have been able to get more usable DNA, and the trial might have ended quite differently....

Bet you're sorry you voted for Obama now
Well, I didn't vote for Obama......but now that he's the pres, I'll cut him some slack....I'm not jazzed about what looks to be the nationalizing of some of the bigger banks, but we'll see how it plays out.

before surgery diet
Well, respectfully, sabretooth, if we could lose 75 lbs pretty easily, none of us would need the band. The reason that you see a big weight loss pre-surgery is because it's a liquid diet. I suspect for most of us, when we started to eat real food, the weight would come right back, if not for the band.

Hello from St. Louis...
Hi needchange. My advice would be for you to look at the various weightloss surgeries and pick out the one that best seems to fit your lifestyle. If you've been to a seminar and met with your doctor, then you've got at least an idea of band life. Are you as familiar with the RnY, DS, Sleeve? Don't get me wrong.....I love my band, and it's working great for me.....but I think it's up to every individual to pick the surgery to match them. Hope that helped! Good luck!

6 days post-op
Hey Bonnie, glad to have you aboard! If you're 6 days post op, you might still be feeling a bit rough. Hang in there, it gets better quickly.

Hello
Hello there kenworthguy. Welcome to lapbandtalk! There certainly is a lot of information on here, so kick back and start reading. Good luck!

New to site & idea of lap band
A pine float - LMFAO! I have never heard of that before. Is that a regional saying? Too funny.... As far as the band goes, I personally can eat almost anything, if I follow the rules (eat slowly, small bites, small portions, no drinking with meals, etc). Some very soft doughy breads and very very dry meats sometimes give me trouble, but that's about it. A good first step would be for you to attend an informational seminar in your area. That'll give you the opportunity to ask specific questions to a surgeon, as well as giving you an overview of band life. Good luck in whatever you choose!

Moving toward Being Single??
Well teech, that sounds pretty rough. However, it has to kinda feel good to be vindicated......as it sounds like your ex was not the man you thought he was. Bask in the now. You've certainly landed on your feet.

Do you remember the Chandra Levy D.C Murder?
The new evidence was that the cellmate of the accused illegal immigrant told authorities that the illegal immigrant confessed to him to doing the crime. Based on that, I think they're able to legally get a DNA sample to compare to whatever was left at the scene.

Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!
That's where Gloria Allred came into the picture. She apparently negotiated that deal (or at least is claiming credit for it). Heh.....Allred still cracks me up.

Let's Talk Movie Review
Ok movie reviewers....this weekend I saw Friday the 13th. Not bad for a remake. Jason kills lots o' people....lots o' blood....lots o' boobs... Not really scary per se, but there were some "startle ya" moments. And the guy that plays Jason looks HUGE. Not a bad popcorn film.

Is Casey Anthony guilty?
Well, I hate to be a party pooper, but technically, she's still innocent until the jury's verdict. It's used in industrial cleaning That makes a lot of sense about the grandparents' behavior....latent guilt that they may have contributed to the girl's death by trying to make their daughter be responsible...Man, that'd be rough...

Rancher being sued by illegal immigrants
I like Palin ok. I think the repubs went ape for her because she espoused conservative values....something McCain didn't really have going for him (what with the aforementioned liberal immigration policies and such). I still think it's funny that feminists crucified Palin after griping that Hiliary was treated in a sexist manner. Probably no republican would have won....simply because of the effective democrat slogan of "voting for x is like 4 more years of Bush"....but everybody's gotta admit that McCain didn't try very hard. If the election had been a boxing match, I'd have accused McCain of taking a dive. I was a Mitt Romney man, myself. He was much more conservative than McCain, and was much more economy-saavy. I think Romney's Mormonism ended up beating him, which is unfortunate.
