  1. I kinda feel a little bad for Shelby lol but she deserved to be put in her place! I love the irony of this story. Keep it up and keep her negative vibes away from your success! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  6. I didn't mean to skip over your question! What I ate for the whole month of my gallbladder saga was mainly Soups. I had hot chicken Soup and tomato soup which actually made me feel better. I also had light hot air popcorn that I was able to eat but that's pretty much it. Again feel better and good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I think I hit my goal weight faster because of my gallbladder, I didn't eat for a month until I finally went back to my surgeon and he told me I needed it removed immediately. But the appetite definitely does come back after it's removed and pain subsides. I'm so happy I had mine removed. That was rough. Best of luck to you, I definitely know what you're going through Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. 178 today. Slowly but getting there! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. I didn't tell anyone except for a really close friend whose husband went through it. I lied and told people I had my gallbladder removed which ended up happening a few months later lol! Anyway I didn't want to tell people because people just don't understand especially in my close knit community. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  15. I couldn't eat meat for months after. I'm not 6 months post op and still not into it as much as I was before I used to love chicken now can't look at it. I told my surgeon he said it's totally common for the first months to have a problem with meat especially because it's very heavy on the new stomach. I learned to love fish been having salmon all the time lately Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. Yes. 2 months after my sleeve I woke up in the middle of the night with extreme sharp pain right under rib cage on the right side. The next day it felt a little better but only when I was lying down in fetal position or doubled over. I finally went to the hospital and found gallstones as well and had it removed the following day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. On day 11 I was still on liquids. Not even tolerating Water yet. I guess everyone's different. Lucky! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. At my consultation I was so into just getting the surgery and changing my life I didn't even ask any questions. I went in thinking I was getting a lap-band and left with paperwork for the sleeve. I didn't even ask one question about anything which I definitely regret. I was so focused on losing weight i didn't really think about the fact that I was having most of my stomach removed! Make sure you ask everything you want to know. I found that I had way more questions post op rather than pre. don't rush everything will work out! Let us know Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. Anyone else have days where you can't eat anything at all? And on the flip side days where you're always hungry? I find myself having a lot of non eating days where any food I look at makes me nauseous Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. Well I had my GB removed 2 months ago which set me back in terms of nausea. After my sleeve I was okay but after GB I got crazy chronic nausea and now I'm like basically addicted to zofran so it's tough. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. I'll be 7 months out in November Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. We should all make our appointments on the same day lol! I actually live an hour and a half away Long Branch Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. I was constantly nauseous and nothing was helping at one of my follow ups I asked for zofran and have been taking it non stop ever since. I take it like 3 times a day because it really helps and because I'm ALWAYS nauseous. My primary doc was not happy about the amount of zofran I was taking so she prescribed levsin to take before meals and that helps a lot too if you wanna ask your surgeon for that as well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. I was the same as you so nervous to go under (too much greys anatomy lol) but really it'll feel like 5 minutes to you and for everyone else it's about an hour or so! Good luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. Hey, rick. It's definitely normal to up the calories 3 months out, however I'm about 7 months out and still can't make it to 1000 calories. Did you speak to your nutritionist? Maybe he/she can help you figure out a daily goal/plan to stay with if you're having trouble with calories. You're definitely on the right track with walking a lot and eating a lot of Protein. I still struggle with not even getting close to my protein goal so I think you should continue what you're doing and talk to your nutritionist! Everyone is different there are many different types of people on here regardless of all having the same surgery! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
