  1. Hey guys. I know this question is asked a lot but please bare with me! I'm about 2 months out and I'm wondering how many calories roughly I should be consuming a day. As of now, I take about 500-700 calories a day, my highest calorie intake was about 850. Is that normal? I don't know what the normal range is for calories. Also, every time I eat I make myself aware of how many calories I'm eating and even if I'm not full yet, I'll stop earlier so as to not go over. I'm nervous about gaining weight or not losing because I'm eating too much (even though I know I'm not) it just feels like it. Anyway, sorry again. I know this is a known question but it's been bothering me for a while now. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  3. Hi guys! One of my favorite things ever is hot sauce I don't know if I'm allowed to have it yet I'm about 3 months post op. Just wondering what everyone's experience with spicy food was especially hot sauce! And when you started having it? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I was allowed salad 6 weeks post op and I was just like you craving during the phases. I'm able to eat salad pretty well I'm just full after a couple of bites. Make sure you don't take big bites of lettuce because it will cause discomfort.. At least it did for me, but other than that I have nothing else to report! Good luck! 6. I don't have those guidelines either.. I'm allowed to have Pasta and rice and bread just was told not to make a habit of it to eat it everyday. I think it's normal that you took a break, I always do that and it's good you finished the meal. Because you train so severely, it's normal for you to have a higher calorie intake/eat more because you're working out all the time no? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Thanks guys! I started logging and it actually really helped. I just don't know what my calorie intake should be when I'm not on any phase diet. Before I was getting about 300-500 and now I'm about the same but I don't know what goal I should set for calories. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Hi all. I'm about 6 weeks post op just finished the 3 phases as of this week. I feel like ever since I was able to eat anything, my appetite increased. Now, I'm not saying I can eat like how I did before surgery, but earlier I wasn't able to eat a lot and was rarely hungry, and now I actually find myself looking through the fridge. I don't know what to do am I doing something wrong? I definitely don't overeat but I'm just nervous that I stretched my stomach or something (lol I know it's not really possible) or am I just feeling like I'm eating a lot but not? I don't know. Looking forward to hearing from you guys thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  19. I'm day 14.. Basically having the same problem as you! They say to eat 4 oz but I can't even make it to 2 because I'm soooo full. But I think you're supposed to eat slowly and span it out within a half hour so you could get that food in. And as for the drinking, idk what to do either!
