Salad

I know that I am still early out and have at least 3 more weeks before I eat solid foods, but when did everyone start eating salads. I have been wanting one and I don't want to hurt myself eating one too soon.

I wasn't allowed any raw veggies for six months post-op. I lived :D Seriously, the real estate available in your stomach is tiny and traumatized and what it needs is protein and healthy fats, not a bunch of roughage right now. Hang in there!

my doctor's plan for me allowed salad and anything else at 4 weeks. but this is an individual thing based on how you are healing I think. Protein is my focus, but I do like some greens thrown in there.

I was allowed salad 6 weeks post op and I was just like you craving during the phases. I'm able to eat salad pretty well I'm just full after a couple of bites. Make sure you don't take big bites of lettuce because it will cause discomfort.. At least it did for me, but other than that I have nothing else to report! Good luck!
