  7. Here is my thing. I have 3 children and a husband. I have almost missed dinner the last week or so because I am not hungry so I don't feel like cooking. At about 6:30, the kids start hunting me down to find out what is for dinner. We have had fend for yourself more. Nights than I can count on the last month. It will have to get better when school starts. Feeding the children is in my job description. Lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. Hi Friends, I am a teacher for children with severe autism and cognitive deficits. I love it, but chronic pain has really weighed on me. I work with 3-4 year olds and some days are so physical and it can be like herding kittens. I am 3 1/2 weeks post op band to sleeve revision. This is not my first rodeo!! I feel amazing. Down 24 lbs. and ready to take on the world. My clothes feel great and just back to feeling healthier. So, it's time for my 3 month transformation. Today I got rid of the gray. Cut some new bangs. Getting some highlights in a few weeks. I love the difference in my feeling of satisfaction after I eat a small amount of food. I am on mushies still. The lapband worked great for two years. Then the tube moved and was causing spleen and diaphragm pain daily. It took 2 years to figure out the problem along with a 30 lb regain. I am so happy to be pain free. Today I finally decided to work out. I am a swimmer. It was great to get back in the pool this morning. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and thanks for letting me share. Any other teachers doing the same thing? SW 252 CW 227 1st GW 198 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Now I didn't because I had a band failure. If there is anything going on with your band like slippage, erosion of esophagus, reflux that has been ongoing even with medication and you have a good surgeon and his insurance staff are advocAting for you and not their pocketbooks you should not have to jump through as many hoops as the first time. It is coded under a medical necessity. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. Yum. Two will fill you up. One fills me up. I am on week 3 and allows crackers if I am careful. So, be careful. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  22. 5 days post op. Very happy with my recovery. Because I am a teacher and am off for the summer, I am able to really rest and take my time. starting Weight-245 5 days post op CW-233 I am a revision patient and had to have additional scar tissue removed from my spleen, diaphragm and stomach. My lapband had been causing extreme pain for 2 years with minimal losses. I feel immediate restriction and love my surgeon. Friday I get to start full liquids and am looking forward to that. We are clearly on the right track. Have an amazing week!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Hey June friends!!! I had my revision surgery on Friday and am doing well. This morning I wasn't able to get more than a sip of water down, but this evening I am able to drink a tiny bit more and it took me 3 hours to eat (drink) a SF JELLO. I am not going to weight myself for a while due to swelling and healing. So happy I am done and on the mend. Hubby said it may be time to wash my hair. So that will be my first big task in the morning. The liquid hydrocodone works very quickly and puts me to sleep in about 15 minutes. I also use a heating pad on low and that helps a ton. Seems to being textbook for me. Good luck to everyone. I will keep you posted. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
