Havnt had mine yet unfortunately. Just got approved on 4/11 and should know my date by the end of the week. Glad to hear all of the successes. I'm going in today to remove my stitches. ..can't wait. I've been semi back to full activity and the protein/vitamin intake has been really good. Down a total of 16 or 17 lbs depending which one I want to believe mine or the doc's lol. Down 3 diabetic and 1 hbp meds is the ultimate high!

Today is my first day back at work. Almost has anxiety attack this morning thinking about it. Once I was here, everything g has been great! A nice distraction and life feels normal again. Doing great on Protein and liquid today. Doc said two weeks. One for healing and one for learning how to get Fluid in. Glad I decided to come back early.

I'm on day 13 of my two week pre-op liquid diet. This is truly mind over matter. I thought ny first week would be more difficult but my second week was harder. My liquid diet consisted of 4-5 Protein shakes, one cup of beoth, and unlimited sugar free Jello and Popsicles. I made the mistake of working out so make sure you have enough energy before trying. Keep your focus on the end surprise. Don't cheat this helps you post-op! Sunday will be night before I'm not to have anything but Water after 6pm and nothing after 10pm. Surgery set for 845am. Good luck to us all and kudos for all post-op and speedy recoveries!

The IV fluids are the reason you've gained weight.that will go away in the next 2 weeks

I totally relate to the weight gain! so crazy that Water weight and bloating is a real thing! good for you doing a mile per day! I have been taking it pretty easy, super tired. I couldn't do plain water, but I figured out that cold low calorie Gatorade mixed with regular water is my ticket to hydration! Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

How's everyone doing? I've been getting all my Water and Protein in. I've got to learn to pace my walking but I've been hitting about a mile a day in my steps. My stitches has been my new nemesis especially the left one. I think gravity isn't helping. So to combat this I got a belly band like for pregnancy and it seems to give it enough support. Also I'm still waiting for the surgery IV and the swelling to go down as I came out post-op 6lbs heavier than I went into surgery.

Feeling so much better now that I'm not nauseated. Walked with the kids today, almost getting all of my fluids, feeling such great support from my family, and had the best ¼ cup of Tomato basil Soup from Cajun Kate's.
I must say I am feeling good today. Still taking it easy but listening to my body.

Understandable!!! I was nervous, excited, anxious, and happy all at the same time! Lol! So many emotions! I'm on day 5 post op and I feel good! Expected pain and soreness but nothing unexpected! MahoganySlim
