I got so tired of being alone that I did online dating. I only joined websites for chubby people (datingcurves). I met some scam artists, sleazeballs, some nice guys and eventually my boyfriend of nearly 7 years. He's seen me at my worst and I hope after WLS our relationship gets even stronger (and the sex better). . I honestly never thought I could put myself out there - especially being obese - but I did and as my sister used to tell me - you're not going to meet anyone sitting at home! Just be safe!

I have mine on Wed April 20th...same day as my 3 month "check in". My 19 yr old son keeps telling me I need to study hard for this test. Gotta love kids!

That sounds like too many Protein shakes for both the protein content and calories. I would speak to your NUT about what your daily intake should be. Too much protein can cause kidney issues so be sure to find out what your Surgeon/NUT recommend.

Thank you also KristenLe.I'm getting better with my liquids but not quite there yet. I get one Protein drink in per day (Premier Protein w/ 30 grams of protein). I gotta do better!

I really did not have to jump through hoops but i recommend the hoops cause so many think this is easy that its gonna be a breeze and its permission to eat what they want....
This is EXTREMELY hard...its a new life new beginning BUT its up to everyone to keep it going....

Make sure you are drinking enough Water and getting enough Protein. Your surgery will be successful! Stay positive!

Don't tell anyone but when I used to travel alot for work... I "borrowed" an extender and take it with me every time I fly. . The anxiety of asking for one every time was awful (and humiliating depending on who was near you). I hope the next time I fly I won't need it.

I think it's my fault I asked what the "ideal" weight is for someone my height. But that's not why he expects me to get to.

I can't answer that because had my husband tried any monkey business that soon after surgery the only thing that would have hurt would have been his face and pride. Ummmm NO! I'd say give it some more healing time. Your brain may say yes but even your vajaja is like "hell to the NO!" I'd listen to your body!

one other thing i will tell you. if you order a dress from china (which i did by accident) an XL is apparently a size 10 there. smh. and even then it's tight! also the quality sucks. like i literally brought a whole nother change of clothes just in case this dress ripped down the middle seam. just an fyi.

Figured I'd post an update! Now I'm on day 9 and my surgery is Monday. It does seem easier now, when I don't allow myself to think about it. I've been trying to stay occupied which is challenging because I'm generally a boring person lol. I am surviving though and in the beginning I didn't know if I could make it through the 2 weeks. I'm almost there! 41 shakes down, 29 to go!

I have been on Optifast for 5 days and ive lost 9lbs... which is great!
After getting the band removed ive been eating well for 12 months and doing everything "right" and still gained.. so im glad there is movement on the scales and clothes.
I guess im going to have to be a big girl now and just accept the fact that i couldn't do it on my own.
I really hope everything works out for everyone on here.
You do not understand how much your support means to me... since no one really understands what we go through on a daily basis
