  1. Thank you guys! Follow me on myfitnesspal for my progress username sanjumelts!!
  2. Just keep pushing! There will be days where you will think this was not worth it. Look through your old pics and remember how you felt at the time. I know during this time of my life, I was at my biggest, very depressed, and completely heartbroken. This surgery has been a great tool the kick started all the changes in my life. I will forever stay humble. Weeks out: 24 SW: 371 CW: 240 WL: 131lbs

    NOT the easy way out...

This no longer becomes a matter of question the longer you're out of surgery. I'm about 10 months out, 130 pounds down. I weight lift for an hour 5 days a week along with 30 mins of cardio everyday. Weeks out: 39 SW: 371 CW: 240 WL: 131lbs

    Tomorrow is the day

You got this! I had the same feelings the night before. It can be described as bittersweet. All I can say is that your life will feel better than it ever has a month from now. First 2 weeks may be tough, and the 3rd and 4th week a bit awkward getting accustomed to eating with your new pouch. The rest is history Weeks out: 16 SW: 365 CW: 285 WL: 80lbs

    New and struggling

Limit carbs to below 30g a day, and get them in before 4pm. Keep your protien high! And get some healthy fats in (don't go to crazy, they are caloric) Drink all the Water you can find. Your body will have no choice but to burn fat, when it no longer has carbs! Weeks out: 16 SW: 365 CW: 285 WL: 80lbs
  9. Bad breath is a thing during ketosis, when your body switches to burning fats instead of carbs for energy. You're losing weight, but more importantly fat! Good look! Weeks out: 16 SW: 365 CW: 285 WL: 80lbs

    Advice for stalls?

Cut carbs after 4pm and drink lots of Water. The carbs you do have before 4pm should be limited to about 30g. Burning fat and not carbs is key. Focus heavely on protien, and healthy fats. Be careful with the fats, they have a bit more than double the calories per gram when compared to protien and carbs. And relax! You will get through this! Good luck! What I wish I had known...

The part about people watching, very true. But other than that, follow the program. Keep the protien up, carbs low. Fats somewhat low due to the higher calories per gram when compared to carbs and protien. Carbs low because you want to try your best to keep your body burning fat and not carbs throughout the day. Drink Water. Drink protien shakes with low carbs. Try your best to avoid any drinks other than the mentioned. Lift weights. This applies to both women and men. Helps keep the skin tight, and the body from losing muscle during your extreme calorie deficit after surgery. If you find yourself in a stall, drink your way out of it. This drink being water. Also, have your carbs before 4pm in the day. Limit them to below 30g for the whole day, this way your stay in ketosis. Myfitnesspal is your friend. Good luck to anyone pursuing this huge positive change in their life! Find what works for you but follow A PLAN! Do not just wing this! Weeks out: 15 SW: 365 CW: 287 WL: 78lbs

    Gained weight on band

I do not have a band, I have a sleeve. What works for me is a protien shake with some carbs in the morning (I aim to stay around 300 calories for breakfast). I usually cannot get both down at once so start with the carbs and have my shake about an hour later. I have strictly protien for lunch and dinner. 4 Oz each serving of lean meat, or a protien shake. I aim for 25 carbs a day, all taken in before 4pm (during breakfast) if possible. This helps keep your body in ketosis, and as long as you stay in ketosis, you will lose weight. The above is about a 650 calorie a day diet... you can increase your protien servings to meet your calorie goal, but try not to move the carbs to much. Good luck! Stomach stretching

I HOPE you meant 6" and not 6'!But guys, why isn't anyone talking about the fact that @@jennjones5 is eating 6' sandwiches with all fixings? I only ate a measly 1/12th of that Best, Sanju One reason is because she's 6 months out from surgery - big difference. She also didn't ask what our thoughts were on the fact she ate a 6" sandwich (in 2 meals - only 30 minutes apart). This post needs to be put to bed!The joke was 6' vs 6" = 6 foot vs. 6 inch. I wasn't trying to make a point about 6 months out vs 2 months out... but you were to trigger happy to realize the difference. When you can't understand different unit symbols, and try to make a point about me through making a parallel that was derived from a total lack of understanding... I have no words. Alright I'm done with this thread ✌ Thanks again everyone for all the advice. Best, Sanju

    Extreme Weight Loss

4oz of lean turkey meat for proportion. Best, Sanju

    Extreme Weight Loss

I would stick to the protien shake in the morning but substitute lunch and dinner with lean ground turkey cooked with some light seasoning and like spice. Also, for a snack, I would have a Greek yogurt. You will end the day around 600 calories, and around 90 grams of protien. Hopefully this will help you! Best, Sanju
