You do realize that when you post on here you are essentially asking for thoughts and feedback, right?
If you don't want thoughts and feedback, then post the picture on Pinterest.
NO ONE was even remotely trying to be offensive or insensitive to you. At all.

I don't think anyone meant any harm, they were just letting you know about their experiences and what they took.

Twinkle Toes reacted to LisaMergs in Migraines after surgery?
Oddly enough, but out of nowhere the last two weeks I am, as well. Surgery was 3/23/16. So a year after to you I guess
I'm getting my Protein, Water and vits in so wth? Lol. Have one brewing right now. Getting tired of waking up with a headache every day Tylenol doesn't work and ibuprofen - my drug of choice- is now a no no.

Twinkle Toes reacted to Valentina in Bizzaro milestone?
I realized mine when I went to my grandson's graduation from kindergarten. I haven't quiet come to grips with my feelings about it though.
Here it is:
I looked around the auditorium and suddenly -out of nowhere realized that I was no longer the fattest woman in the room.
I'm a bit ashamed of the thought.
I'm a bit amazed of the observation.
--and I'm more than a wee bit proud of myself.
Confused? So am I.

Twinkle Toes got a reaction from LisaMergs in Migraines after surgery?
I had RNY June 24th. A week after I had 9 days of cluster Migraines with aura. My surgeon assumed I was dehydrated & I was infused with a liter of saline. So far no more since the infusion! (Knock on wood) if you are continuing to get them, I don't know.

Twinkle Toes reacted to LisaMergs in Ok I have to ask...are things going too well? Am I overdoing it?
Your recovery sounds a lot like mine. By the end of the first week the fatigue DID kick in, but I allowed myself to rest and then got up and moved by walking as soon as I did. I was walking a few miles by the end of two weeks. Never had an issue with liquids, or keeping food down.
Since the first month- I'm now just past 3 months- I completely re-hauled my front landscaping myself, started at the gym with a personal trainer, and kept moving. So embrace what you have, listen to your body and enjoy the new you! I've dropped 73 lbs since March 23 and hit 199 today!

Lol my wife and I had surgery the same day. I was in a living hell, and as I'm dry heaving very loudly, I can hear her ask the nurse "is it weird that I don't feel nauseous or sore at all??".. I literally wanted to kill her lol. So anyway, you're good. Everyone's different. Be happy.

I'm home from my surgery after one night in the hospital. Some nausea and vomiting from swallowing crushed pills but I'm doing better than expected.

Today is my one week surgiversary. I have lost over 9 pounds in the last week and more than 27 pounds since the beginning of my pre-op diet!

I am getting so excited. Pre op testing tomorrow morning and surgery Wednesday morning. It seemed like 2 weeks would never end when I started the liquid diet and now I am so close. I am packing tonight and shopping for post op supplies too. Just trying to keep my mind distracted. Other good news is that my replacement fit bit came in today! I have missed it this past week.

Twinkle Toes reacted to LipstickLady in Food Funeral
You should be able to eat anything BUT if there is a food or three you can't? You won't miss them.
I used to love rice, Pasta, ice cream, soft bread. Now those foods make me feel nauseated and shakey if I eat more than a bite or two. I no longer want them.
Most of us have a drinking story, right? In high school, senior beach week, I drank so much peach schnapps, I puked for two days. Now I can't smell it without wanting to vomit.
It's just like that, but better.

Twinkle Toes reacted to LipstickLady in Beer
I used to drink wine. I can't now because it is too acidic and gives me horrific heartburn.
I do like a vodka/diet cranberry or diet pomegranate or a whiskey with Coke Zero. Now that it's summer, though? I love a cold beer or three. Sometimes the carbonation is uncomfortable, sometimes it is not. I do have a much better time of it if I pour it in a glass to allow some of the bubbles to some to a head.
My doctor cautioned against alcohol for two reasons. First, it's empty calories. Second, people tend to eat more with less inhibition when they are intoxicated -- and usually not making good, healthy choices. Good thing about beer for me? After even one, I can't eat for at least an hour. I'm totally full. Two, I won't eat for several hours. Three, I won't eat for the rest of the day.
A bonus? I burp like a sailor and it's quite awesome.

I just started my liquid diet. I have to be on it until June 17th. I'm going to imagine the gnawing feeling in my stomach is fat dissolving in acid. Yeah, that's what it is...
