  1. Yes all surgeons seem to be different. There's a lot of folks in my online FB group that can have one meal a day, or it's strictly calorie counting or low carb. I'm so jealous of those people! Lol. I have two days left of this and then two days of clear liquids (which I know will be hell) and then it's surgery day. I am trying to keep my eye on the prize! 2. I would totally do it if I thought it would make me feel better! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Surgery 4/4 for me. Something that has helped me is drinking different kinds of warm tea throughout the day (no caffeine) - today I've had peach, cherry and sleepy time tea. All celestial seasonings. I am getting so sick of everything being sweet and these are flavorful, but not sweet. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Day 5 here. Surgery is 4/4. Super sick of everything being sweet. My hubby was wonderful and went to the local hibachi place to get me some of that clear onion broth they bring you before your meal. It was amazing and saved the day! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Day 5 of the liquid diet here. I'm pretty miserable but I know it will be worth it. My surgery is 4/4. I also tell myself I don't want my liver to get damaged! Lol. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I have taken it and it gave me a full blown panic attack. The doctor prescribed it to me for anxiety - which was a horrible idea. I have a good friend who takes it for depression and she loves it. But if you suffer from any kind of anxiety it might not be the best med for you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. @phintenn I didn't. I'm self paying Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Thank you all for the support! I have lost 10 lbs so that's good. I keep telling myself "I can eat whatever I want, but I choose not to" --- to remind myself I'm in control of food, it's not in control of me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. @@melyssafaye my husband got me some!! And he also got me the clear onion Soup that they give you at hibachi places. It's so good and actually made me return to my human form earlier! Lol. I was a hungry beast! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. Hmm I'm on my phone and I don't see that. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  12. I ate two pieces of string cheese today. It happens (my liquid diet is 10 days - surgery 4/4). Honestly it sounds like you still have time to undo the damage with two weeks left. All you can do is forgive yourself and move on. Just keep swimming! It's hard! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. @@leahhindi thank you so so so much for that kindhearted response! Yeah the string cheese was a moment of weakness. It's hard because I'm so hungry! But you're right. @@SassyNanny they aren't on my approved list I can basically only have Protein shakes, Jello, sugar free Popsicles etc Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. It sounds like you are dehydrated. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. All liquids for 10 days. The first two days were ok, third day was a struggle...today is day 4 and I'm dying over here. I'm so so hungry! All the sweet shakes and stuff are just making me gag. I have some broth but it only satisfies me for like 10 mins. I totally caved today and ate TWO strong cheeses. I feel bad but ugh. How do you cope with cooking dinner for your family when you're literally starving?? I just feel like crying I'm having a weak/bad day! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. There was a discussion about this the other day in a group that I'm in (full of sleeve folks) and I said it's like I have body dismorphia but in the wrong direction! I don't realize how big I am. I had no idea I was so big that seatbelts on the smaller planes wouldn't fit across me, or that I was so big I could barely fit on a ride at Disney. I just haven't realized until recently just how big I've let myself get. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. I'm on day one - I survived! Lol. It sucks and I have a headache :-/ But it will be worth it! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
