  1. You look AMAZING! I have to ask, did you have plastics? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Are you taking pain pills or other crushed meds? That could certainly attribute to it. I am off pain meds now (6 days post op) but anytime I took a pain pill I made sure I had taken a zofran first. Doc sent me home with that and phenegrune. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Oh and I have a 4 week liquid diet after surgery so it will be awhile before I have natural foods to help move things along. I think I'll add refried Beans to the menu during the puréed phase! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Thank you. I'll be adding something to my daily mix. The milk of magnesia worked. There wasn't much in there but it was something. A lady in one of my FB groups had surgery 2 days after me and had a bowel obstruction that required surgery today. So I'm def going to be keeping an eye on it because I know it can end up being serious! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Yes. I have been on a liquid diet for 2 weeks. I did the bowel prep before surgery and it was very minimal even then. I'm not in any discomfort. I am in a FB group and people were making me worried because their docs were saying if you haven't gone in 4 days take action. Took MOM three hours ago. Still nothing! 6. Ok I'm glad to hear this. I have been passing plenty of odorless gas The MOM hasn't kicked in yet but my stomach is gurgling lol. @@Valentina I agree and I am def going to say something at my one week appt on Monday! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I have managed to get most of my fluids in each day - my urine is a nice color lol - so I don't think I'm dehydrated. I took the milk of magnesia. Now we wait. And yes @@madeline121 - I'm drinking the "clear" ones - can't have the milky ones the first two weeks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Ok it's super super annoying that I can't get ahold of anyone at ththe surgeons office. No one gave me any instructions on my immediate post op BM instructions I haven't had a BM for 6 days. I don't feel constipated but I do know that it's not good. Anyone know what I can take that is safe? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Thanks for responding. I called the surgeons office and they said it can be normal but to keep an eye on it. She said that like 5 times so I didn't feel very comforted. I'm also nauseous even with zofran Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I came home yest evening. I felt semi ok this morning but this afternoon I feel terrible. Extreme fatigue, cold chills, headache. I have no fever though. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  12. I have lower left back pain (I'm 4 days post op) that o attribute to the hospital beds. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I had surgery 4/4. They told me that this is not the kind of gas that you can expel, so you have to wait for your body to absorb it. They also said gas x strips won't work. I tried them anyway and they were right, didn't help! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Thanks for all the responses. I managed to get almost an entire Protein drink down (Syntrax nectar fuzzy navel - these types are allowed on my plan) and the shakiness subsided. So yes, you were right. I stayed in the hospital for three days and literally was only able to take in Water the entire time I was there. The Protein Drink made me feel a lot better. Now! To drink another one today lol. My SIL had the surgery in Decemver and she said she had a foamy mouth for a long time too but had no explanation for it. She said it did go away. 15. My mouth is a foam factory and it's so gross. I'll be on a liquid diet for 4 weeks so I'm not eating anything. I'm also so weak and kinda shaky. Tell me it's normal! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
