  1. No, I haven't melted....not yet anyway lol I've just been getting ready for my surgery tomorrow. 11:30am is the time!! I can't wait! Good luck to everyone else that is having their surgery tomorrow as well!!
  2. I'm actually drinking the premixed drinks (isopure). I didn't like the thicker ones cause they were definitely too chalky. The difficult part is that the protein drink can only have 3-6 grams of sugar and apparently i don't like a lot of them lol It's only day 3 and I'm just gonna suck it up and deal with them. My surgery date will be here before I know it. Thanks for the advice though!
  3. I'm on the protein shake preop diet now (started wed.) until my surgery this coming thursday. Not really sure if I can help as to what kind you would like. I'm drinking the isopure premixed drinks but I have noticed that even those still leave a chalky after taste in my mouth. The list of what kinds I can have is limited because they can only have 3-6 grams of sugar and the slimfast drinks contain more. I'm basically just sucking it up for the week and dealing with them. The only other thing I can have is water. Just try some different ones and see if you like any of them. Good Luck!
  4. Considering I don't like roller coasters, thanks for the visual..lol j/k It's getting closer and the pre-opt diet I'm on sucks (protein shakes & water) so I actually can't wait for Thursday!
  5. It seems all doctors are different. I'm getting banded on March 6th and as of last wednesday I have been on a protein drink diet (one week before surgery) and water. That is all I can have! My problem is that the protein drinks are not bad except they all leave a chalky after taste in my mouth. I have to drink 3-6 a day and I'm finding it really hard to just drink 3. Any suggestions? The only other thing I can have is water and the bad part is that I'm still hungry (doesn't help smelling the food other people eat either). I know it is all worth it. I just can't wait until my surgery.

  7. I was just scheduled today for March 6th! I'm excited but I know the nerves will kick in as the day gets closer. Anyone else for the same day?
