Since you've all submitted your things in I have a question. Did you guys have to do a chest X-ray? I know all insurances are different but it seems like most people have to do one and it wasn't in my check list. I'm hoping my coordinator didn't miss that or something.

I love that we have a forum to discuss these things! After what I've read, we're going to need each other....especially the first few weeks after surgery.

Is it bad that I'm already planning the clothes I'm going to buy once I loose the weight? I think my husband is dreading that.

I too am in the wait for approval mode. The office manager in my doctor's office said that fast notice of approval is unusual and that a quick notification is generally a denial. I've decided to root for a longer wait so I can get an approval! No guarantees from the office manager but a new way to look at the process.

They said it could take 2 weeks. Thursday will be 2 weeks. Put in another call today. We will see if they call. Ugh.Keep me posted on your situation. Maybe we can keep each other positive. Good luck to you!!

Omg it's finally a week day, this weekend has drag painfully by for me, will be calling the surgeons office today to see if they got my paper worn and to hopefully set up my appointment. Who else is calling and checking in on ppl today???

I know it might differ but for me I have Aetna Choice Comprehensive PPO. I had to do a 3 month disciplinary program (make sure it spans out for 90 days) with a end of program visit with my doc to discuss my progress on the program. I had to do a psych eval, upper endoscopy and a stress test. Thats basically it for me. I was scheduled for the 11th of July but had to postpone because my 3 month program didn't span out over 90 days so I need one more appointment for this month which is scheduled for the 30th. End of program appointment with doc hopefully around July 6th. Everything would be submitted to insurance again with hopefully a new surgery date for end of July or early August.

I feel so relieved as well to have people to talk to. My family knows I'm doing this but in a way I feel alone with this if that makes any sense

I'm right there with you, that's why I keep pushing so much for them to get stuff done, hell I even offered to drop my chart of at the surgeons office lol I'm also worried they won't approve me, it doesn't say they require any amount of weight loss prior to having it but I've only lost 11lbs. I'm also waiting on insurance approval it is hard waiting. I'm so nervous that I'm not going to be approved. Hopefully I will here something by next week. Plus I'm hoping to get sleeved in the end of July or beginning of August.

I've called my insurance 3 times since it was all submitted and each time I get a different time period. First it was 3-5 days then 7-10 days and today I was told 10-15 days and I'm just like wow I'm so ready to hear something !!!
