Personally success has been different for me op. I've had better dealings with women since wls than I've ever had before. I'd love to say the weight doesn't matter but I'd be a liar.

I'd suggest staying off of the dating sites. Women become irrationally picky and entitled on them. It's probably best to seek out friends of friends who are single. Or get into hobbies or meet ups that involve both genders.

I realize this is the mens room. Just needed to say congrats on your weight loss@AJ Tylo. You look happy as does she. Nothing illegal or disgusting about you being happy. You do you and be proud.

i agree with you buddy. relying much on dating sites does not get you anywhere. Best to showcase yourself personally than being in a dating site.

That's nice. I'm not having any trouble with my sagging tits. Or "accidentally" posting in Gals' Room topics.

Am I the only one that gets annoyed by the number of women that post in the Guys' Room?
Please don't get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for women and consider them peers and equals.
I guess the rub is that women dominate, for obvious reasons (80/20), the general forum and I personally don't and rarely see men post in the Gals' room. It feels like an invasion of the one place that should be The Guys' Room. And, I've read the excuses about how they don't know there in here. To me, they are just that, excuses. I can read a URL just like everyone else.
Hope this doesn't start a $hit storm, just want some perspective. Oh and to be clear, I want it from the Men.

Hey all. Its been a minute since I've posted in here. Been dealing with my own stall and weight regain over the last year. Been a rough year with job stress and buying a home, that it really didn't take that much for meto fall off track and let old habits creep back in.
Over the last four weeks I've refoced and went back to the basics again. Counting callories, avoiding the things that don't help as much as I can (at least during the week), and hitting the gym more consistently. This time around where some things are easier to cope with, other things aren't.
Its why I'm here. Needing that reminder that this isn't a race but a marathon of continued work, focus, and dedication to being a healthier person. Acknowledging that my success will come from the work I put in. My honeymoon phase from surgery is long long gone. So when you get stress out, or slip up with the eating/diet/exercise remember this:
1.You didn't get to where you got in a week, and you won't get to where you need to be in a week.
    2. It takes time. Learn to acknowledge your mistakes and learn to move past them. Even if that means starting from the basics (calorie counting, meal prepping/planning, walking, Water intake, etc).
    3. Remember/remind youself that you can do this. Surgery was the hard part. Working out isn't **** compared to having your stomach/body altered.
    4. Celebrate your success, because they do count. Whether its making it to 2 miles on the treadmill, staying at your caloric goal for a day/week/month, fitting in smaller clothes,or dropping an inch off the waist line celebrate it. Because not everyday that scale is gonna cooperate with you. When that happens remember that you are changing in other ways.
Yeah and days you feel like its still not working look at that picture of you prior to surgery, and then look at you now. Your light years away from where you started. Because you decided to start.

The Veteran's Forum is respected (for WL veterans only), is it not? If that's the case, why are the other "only" forums treated any differently?

OP got pecked to death for asking a male related question in the guys forum
the point of having a GUY forum is for something like this to not happen correct?

I am a straight guy who fully supports gay rights. But the reason for that is sometimes men and women are uncomfortable speaking about sensitive gender specific topics with the other sex chiming in. Some guys may want to discuss how the surgery may affect things like erectile dysfunction or "man boobs", perhaps some women are uncomfortable discussing their menstrual cycle or changes to their breasts or genital areas. Some people aren't uncomfortable with it and that is fine but others are, and if you are going to have the guys/gals only forum rooms I think it would be better if they were locked down.

Not buying into nonsense isn't bigotry, it is just accepting reality. With the exception of those incredibly rare individuals who are born with a genetic intersex condition everyone is either male or female. You can't change your gender any more than you can change your age, race, or species. If this offends some people so be it but it is not bigotry to refuse to play along with someone's delusions.

Another vote for male only. I would definitely see this change as an improvement to the idea of sharing information that needs to be confidential. Force the user profile gender answer and don’t let it be flipped between genders easily. I read a female only topic by mistake (from the new app feed version) and, well I don’t need that image in my head.

I can't speak for the women's forum as I don't look at it but as far as the men's forum there are some who don't care. For example these are parts of replies were posted on a fairly sensitive subject for the OP.

Obviously some people simply don't care or respect the posters in the gender specific rooms and I think that this discourages people from posting. This is probably a major reason the Guys forum is all but dead. I am sure the opposite happens in the Gals forum and of course would be just as rude but I think locking the forums down is the best solution.

A good reason for women to support the change as well (hence me asking for both to be locked down and not just the men's room)! I am sure it can be just as annoying for the gals as it is the guys. But yes there are posts where the women explicitly state that they know it is the men's forum but don't care.

I would like to post on some more private topics in the guys room but the females cannot seem to keep out of it and enjoy butting in, even on posts specifically labeled as male only. PLEASE lock down the gender specific rooms and posts by gender! As we have a gender option on our profiles this should be fairly easy to do and would probably encourage more participation.

I'm a week post body lift/tummy tuck. I am feeling pretty good. The pain was intense for the first few days. I have four drains in and still fill them up with Fluid. I expect them to be in for a few weeks at least. The results so far are amazing, though. They took off 15 lbs of skin/fat. All insurance covered. I'll be looking at an arm lift in about 6-8 weeks.
