The Fall here in the NY mountains is really a blessing. God's paint brush at its finest. Anyone want to take the Fall Foliage train ride thru Upstate NY and New England??? It's pure heavenly adventure.

I assure you, my good woman, that the swimming tube is long gone. My Howdy Doody towel, on the other hand, is put away in a drawer, untouched in aeons, as it's faded, thin and precious. It depicts Howdy and the Princess giving Flub-A-Dub a bath. Pretty racy stuff, I suppose.

I love birds...we moved to the Pacific Northwest last summer and I haven't seen a goldfinch since...I miss them!

@ShelterDog64, oh I love birds too... so much. However, I stopped feeding all birds except the goldfinches because raccoons literally stole 3 expensive bird feeders. Took the dang things off the shepherds hook and drug them out of my yard! Ha! No other bird, squirrel or raccoon seems to like thistle. So it's a win win. The Goldfinches get the bird baths AND their own food. I have a relative that lives in Seattle. It's flippin cold there most of the year. Maybe too cold for the sweet little yellow birds.

Yeah, can't wait for cooler temperatures. Its gonna be a couple months at least.

I agree this heat is really too high for me to be out biking every day. I wish I could get myself on a gym bike but I still can't do that.
