  8. Girl! You WORKED that sleeve! Wow!! Great job! Lol at the wedding dress...gives me pause for thought...I may have to dig that sucker out of storage and unseal the preservation tape.... I know I'm pretty darned close.
  9. You're RIGHT!!! A TOTAL Pretty Woman moment!!! Thank you!!!
  10. Today-- trying on a pair of size 6 pants...down from 24's exactly 8 months post op today. Here is the funny thing... I knew I'd fit into a 6- and the only pair that they had was on a mannequin. Asked the sales clerk to take them off so I could try them on. She looked at me and tried to talk me out of it- saying they run very small. I repeated to her that I wanted to try them on and she obliged but kept repeating that they wouldn't fit, they run small. Boom. (I should add that I WAS wearing baggy clothes when I walked in...but STILL!!!)
  11. Magnificent work and results!!! Wow! Way to go!!
  12. Latest.... Week before surgery This weekend 6.5 mos out, I'm about 20-25 from goal. Still trying to decide. Down 115 ish from surgery
  13. Look at you!!! #weightlossgoal !!!
  14. You will be awesome! Bet you can't wait! It goes so fast, really. I don't know how- lol- but it does!
  15. My doc also has me on a PPI, yet I find that I still have an occasional issue with the acid, and need to turn to OTC zantac. Frustrating, at best. And the pain is completely different that pre-op, so it took a while to discern that it was, indeed, acid. Ok. Wth. Keeps saying content not available.
  16. I'm not sure if any WLS pts on here have been given this, but I've read SO MANY posts from people who had WLS and then later needed gall bladder surgery. My surgeon put me on Actigall immediately post op- for three months- to prevent issues with said little bile-producing buggar. Also goes by name Ursodiol. No post op gall bladder issues here. Whether or not it's coincidental, I'll never know. But having the med on board was part of his regimen, and I was happy enough to comply.

  18. I was actually admonished by my NUT for not eating fruit every day. Her belief is akin to yours- our bodies need the nutrients found naturally in them. Her suggestion was veggies with two meals and fruit with one. I stick to cantaloupe, blueberries and strawberries for the most part. Have had watermelon but it gives me a bit of a tummy ache. Honeydew I can't do. Have not touched an apple yet but someone online here suggested grating them so I'm going to try that. Raw banana? Nope. But I have a food dehydrator and slice them, dehydrate them, and will munch on a few chips if I need to crunch. However, I draw the line at beets. They will not pass my lips lol. Thank you again for a wonderful post!
