    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

Hello to all, hard to believe it has been 4 years. I am down 80 some days and 90 on others, not complaining, still consider myself far far better off! So far, no complications with my band although I still catch myself on rare occasions not chewing thoroughly and being stuck. Good to hear from all!

    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

Hello all, I have wondered how everyone was doing. I also received my band March 2008, some days I'm good and eat as I am suppose to and some days I'm bad and eat around the band. I feel I have 15 more lbs to go but my doctor says another 65. I don't want to be skinny, just healthy which my last labs showed I am good there. I have come to the conclusion every day will be a struggle and some days my focus is meeting that struggle head on, other days I focus on other struggles. Energy level is not what I hoped it would be, guess thats an age thing! All and all, I feel I am better than I was. I am better at keeping up with the grandchildren which was one of my reasons for the band. I will continue to struggle! PJ Forgot how to change the weight progress scale below!

I have been returning every once in a while to read the ups and downs of everyone. You have all been in my prayers. I am down to 215. Wish it was more but I am better than I was 1 1/2 years ago. My problem is I have gotten off the exercise habit and have a tendency to nibble at night. I keep saying I am going back to it but it has not happened yet. My positives are I am in regular clothes, I can climb the stairs at work and I can wear heels again without killing my knees. My job status has recently changed so I hope that will give me the incentive to get out and walk more. Good luck to all. PA

Special K, rent the dune buggy and tour the island. We felt like the Scooby Doo crew in a bright yellow dune buggy but it was so much fun. Seats 4 and someone needs to know how to drive a stick. Have fun, Hawaii was awsome, wished I would have stayed 2 weeks.

JayTee, stay on your scheduled diet and stop worrying. I don't know what meds you are on but I do know some meds cause thinning of the blood or other issues. The doctor is ensuring your health. As for your fatty liver, that is why the doctor places you on a diet prior to surgery, does not take much for the liver to shrink, stay on course and look forward. Surgery was a breeze, just remember to get out of that bed and walk, walk, walk. Even before the nurse comes in and reminds you to. Good luck!!

Cindymom, I understand. I did so well in the beginning, then vacation, holidays, and the ice/winds. My favorite place is again my recliner! I have regained 10 lbs and cannot seem to start the loss again. I am scheduled for a fill on the 16th so, believe it or not, I am looking forward to it.

New in KY, have you researched any of the Unjury powder products? I have only found them online but they are high in protein and low in everything else. The unflavored powder can be added to instant breakfast mix, broths, and other items on your liquid stage. I still add it to soups, sauces or whatever to increase protein. The soups are not bad so I keep a scoop in a baggie in my desk when I get weak. Use your imagination with the stuff. PA (also in KY)
  11. I found ya honey!!!! wow this is awsome, alot of great information, not too many from the Hopkinsville area at least I dont see any right now...thanks again for all your help!!!

  12. Zeama Glad it all went well and looks like your doing good. I have slowed down on weight loss so I guess I need to start working with this tool instead of letting it do all the work. The holidays really hit me hard and I gained 10 lbs. Now can't get back into the routine. I have had 2 fills so far but went to Dr. Steeley's office this month and confessed my sins and refused a fill because I have not been doing my part. I go back in March for a fill, hopefully I will at least have lost what I have put on. Keep up the good work!

What is sad is I find myself agreeing to have dinner with someone and I am not even hungry. It is a habit I need to break. Meals for today: Breakfast was a scoop of PB and a cup of Fiber One yogart. Lunch was a 42 gram protein drink Dinner was a cup of homemade veg/beef w/ 4 wheat crackers.

All, thanks for the understanding words and support. My major stress will go away the 1st week of December and then we will see if I can find other stress to replace it:smile:, isn't that the way it usually goes. Things will calm down and I WILL get my head on straight. Time to get positive and motivated. 1 yr band anniversary is March and I plan on being closer to 200 than I currently am. Maybe not lucky enought to be in onderland, but I can see the borders of wonderland and will get there one day. Keep up the good work all and keep positive! PA

Chica, thanks for the reply. I usually try to drink a protein shake for lunch while at work. My problem is while eating everything within reach, I have not excercised in awhile and have fallen back into my old routine of coming home to tired to go out and walk. Now since the weather has changed, it is dark when I get home, dark when I leave for work, and I am too lazy to get onto the treadmill.
