  1. Hopefully in the future medical coverage will be more inclusive for all of our needs. BTW...I am not IGNORANT ...but very frustrated by many things but most of all the the difficulty I have been through for many months now just to get this done. I thought I could just vent here a little knowing there are others in my shoes. No need to name call people!
  2. Hello everyone! Is anyone a little p****d off like me that the Ontario government has announced that they will now cover a sex change operation!!!? I can't believe it. It is NOT medically necessary to have one. I guess it makes me so mad because many of us stuggle to finance our very necessary lap-band surgeries Grrrrrrrr . I realize that on the other hand, it is easier with the present system with lap-bands, to book a surgical date in a more timely fashion as opposed to the gastric bypass which is covered but has a rediculous waiting time. It's one of those doulble edged swords.
  3. The lack of positive support for CIBO in the Lap Band community scared me off from ever considering them! I think that was a loud and clear signal to me. I'm so glad that I was able to find a financal option to choose SWLC, the one I knew in my heart would be the best choice for me. They all put me so at ease that everything would turn out fine if I chose them to do my surgery.
  4. I will not be choosing CIBO. I have decided to have nothing to do with them. I have finally secured financing through my wonderful brother-in-law:thumbup: So...I will be banded as soon as possible at the SWLC!!!! Yahoo!!! That sure is a load off my mind to be able to have a choice now. I am ecstatic !!!
  5. SWLC would be my first choice as well !! Good for you. Good luck with your surgery
  6. Thanks Jane for the reply. I am concerned. My problem is that I have enough income to support payments and a good downpayment saved, I need a co-signer to be approved ANYWHERE. I don't have anyone to help me. I think they can help me at CIBO though
  7. Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if anyone has any positive experiences with CIBO? I really need to know as I am running out of options at another clinc (financial options). I would appreciate all input ...especially from those who have been banded there. Thanks!
  8. Congrats! What a dream come true!
  9. Hi Sno, I am like you and have not yet made a final choice as to which clinic I will go with. I am visiting CIBO at the end of next week. So by then I will probably know which one to go with. It's a big choice to make. I'm sure it will all become clearer very soon.
  10. I was harmlessly suggesting there was another choice. I do not know of the other 2 clinics you just mentioned. No need to be nasty
  11. Sno, Just wondering if you are considering using the other newer Lap-band clinic in T.O.? I have been for a consultation at SWLC, but I am now considering going with CIBO.
