  4. I am currently with the group at Buff Gen, I have Dr. Hoffman he is awesome.
  5. I actually started out with Dr. Caruana for the gastric bypass, had a surgery date and changed my mind. I then began looking into getting banded. It is a very good program. I was told by his office that his associate, will begin banding the end of summer.
  6. I like the South Beach peanut butter cereal bars. 10 grams of protein.

  8. Hi I am currently waiting to have my band. I read the book weight loss for dummies but it didn't contain much about the lap band. I found the book Weight loss surgery with the Adjustable Gastric Band by Robert Sewell I found it helpful. It is a new release so the information is upto date. I hope this will help you on your journey also. Good Luck
  9. I know when I went they said they would have to have at least 3 hours of sleep to get a diagnosis. Each place may be different. I think they will call you.

  14. Hi I was also just diagnosed with severe apnea, I also have a deviated septum. Does anyone use the full face mask?
  15. My doctor says it stays in forever, unless there is a complication.

  17. That is good to know. I thought the band was good forever. Then I read a website that said 10 yrs. I figured who better to ask but someone who has a band. thank you for the info
  18. I have a puppy so I am taking him outside every hour, and freezing.
  19. I was just wondering, I thought the lap band could stay in place forever(if no complications), but I read some where today that it can only stay in place 10 years. Is this true. Actually this has no barring on me getting it done, but its nice to know

  21. I hear ya. Really want my band. I feel as though I need something. Meaning some type of tool to lose the weight. Diet and excersice just is not enough to keep it off for me.
  22. Caruanas office still does not have a lap band surgery. Well I called in Jan and they said they may have one in a couple of months.

  25. Paperwork has been in for about 3 weeks , still waiting for the call for the seminar. I left a message to see where I stand, but the message says they call back on fridays. I think Dr. Hoffman is the doctor for me. I really like the great results you have had. I need to lose about 120 pounds give or take, lol.
