  1. She is good getting big. She will be 3 in Sept. I was almost at goal and then the pounds snuck up on me. I have lots to loose:
  2. Rain , I am in the same boat. I am struggling everyday also. Watching the pounds adding back on. It is very frustrating! However I don't think I am ready to do a different surgery.
  3. Sally, Please keep us posted on the removal! Good luck
  4. Hi everyone. This is my first time posting on this thread. I am 20 weeks pregnant with my third child. I was banded a year ago. My first child was born at 29 weeks and my second 32 weeks. They have no idea why I was early my water just broke. This time I feel like I spend every other day at the doctor. My ob still sees me every 4 weeks, but I see a "high risk" doctor for shots every Friday(to try and ward off preterm labor). I also see her for ultrasounds. Anyway I have read your posts and happy that all seems well. Good Luck to everyone.
  5. Hi everyone. I am just a little worried. I am 7 months from my lap band surgery and have found out I am pregnant. Wonderful news. I believe my doc requires a complete un fill. I was just wondering what everyones experience is with being pregnant with the band. Is it ok that I am only 7 months out. I just want to have a healthy pregnancy. Thankyou for any comments or suggestions.
  6. Good Luck CB!! Thank you everyone, It reallly has put my mind more at ease. I am so excited.
  7. Thank you for the replies. I probably will get a unfill. I know that I will have some work ahead of me after the baby is born to lose any extra pounds. Congrats to you both!!!
  8. I haven't posted in so long, I thought I would post to say hello. Had my band surgery 6/23 and doin ok. How is everyone?
  9. Hey everyone how is it going. It has been awhile since I have posted. Livelaughlove welcome back!!!! Good luck for your surgery bloomerific.
  10. My husband had his first fill appointment this morning. You guys probably passed in the hall.
  11. Hi Judy, Congrats!!!! I was sore the first week too. I did have bruising. The bruise thats the biggest is probably your port. Mine is between my breasts, well under alittle. Dr. Hoffman says the bruising is because of the blood thinners they give us.
  12. Judy it is written by a doctor and a patient. It is a very good reference guide. I read it before surgery and it didn't freak me out.(which would have been easy pre surgery). I also use it now for a reference.
  13. I recommended it. I still use the book as a reference. Sometimes I check it to put my mind at ease.

    June line up

KayleighsMommy hi. I experienced that same wave like pain. It went away 6 days post op. I just assumed it was gas as well. Hang in there!
  15. I agree with Judy. The patient advocate is there to help you. They will get to the root of the problem. Do not give up!!!!! Good luck. Let us know if you get any answers.
  16. Hey everyone. Hi Judy I was there too. My appointment was for 8:15. Too bad I didn't know you would be there. I would have looked for you too. I had Dr. Lelito too. Nothing to be woried about. It goes very quickly.

We are doing good. I feel much better with everyday. I am hungry now. liquids are getting old.LOL. I am actually a stay at home mom so work was not an issue. My hubby went in Monday for surgery and was back at work Thursday(office job). I think I will try to stick to the SB but probably phase 2 and 3. I need some carbs in my life. LOL You can feel the port on your stomach, when you touch it so thats alittle weird. I can now sleep on my stomach again.

Bugs, on my fitness assesment they had me walk for 12 minutes at a pace in which they said I could finish. In other words my husband and I went together and he walked a heck of a lot faster then me. They did have us do squats and pushups how many you could do. I asked the fitness dr. why they had us do this and she said it is just to get a starting point. She said she has many people who can't do much. Don't worry. If you are call and ask about it. I think you will be fine!
  21. Liquids for 7 days, post op doc visit. Then they put you on Pureed/strained foods. Right now I would love anything solid. Judy the pain in shoulder and neck occassionaly bothers people after anesthesia. I was told it is the "gas" leaving the body. I didn't have that pain, but my husband did. Not intolerable, he says its just achy. In fact my husband and I did not fill the pain meds prescription, and just took tylenol, which was ok with Dr. Hoffman.
  22. I was also banded on the 23rd. Congrats to everyone who is on and who are begining this journey.
  23. Debbie, It never hurts to call. I would, and did many times. They also lost my paperwork a couple of times. Don't feel funny about calling, it can be a very frustrating process.
  24. Well I am also back from surgery. I had terrible nausea for both days in the hospital, but the staff was great. Dr. Hoffman did a wonderful job!! I was in surgery for 35 minutes. Was still wonderful to come home. I still have some belly pain and tiredness.
