  1. My biggest wow moment is going clothes shopping and not hating the way I look in my clothes! Also, when I see my reflection in a mirror or window, I am no longer disgusted.
  2. Oy Vey! Seems like it is ok for some to post and not ok for others... I might need a break from here too.
  3. HeHEHEHEeee My arms look like the top ones... I would like 'em just fine with all the flappies! The other is a lot more toned than I want. Thanks for your help guys!
  4. That is so great that you took care of her needs now, before life got too horrible for her. I wish I had it done at 19! Best of luck to you both and welcom to LBT! Keep us posted on her progress.
  5. I had alcohol right away. I didn't have any carbonated alcohol (beer) for at least a month tho... I was Skeered! Just take it easy. I would see what your Dr. says and follow his/her rules.
  6. Way to go Diane!!! I am at the same weight, but I am doing everything I can. That is all we can do. Think I am just at an ugly plateau.
  7. Telly~ My Dr. would not be happy if I was eating a full chicken breast and a bag of salad. My meal is 1 cup. No more, no less... And if you are hungry all the time, getting a fill will help. I do realize that Telly exercises like crazy, but also you wouldn't have to fight all the temptations with a fill. I still stand strong saying that you should get one for best results. Do what you feel is right tho!!! Keep it up! lins~you are too pretty!!!
  8. Boy, do I feel like a dumb a$$! Here I have been going to the gym for like 10 weeks and up until 2 weeks ago I was doing cardio and weights... the past 2 weeks I have been doing only cardio! So, the best thing would be to do treadmill for 5 minutes, weights, then your full cardio workout? I would love to have a personal trainer... but the funds aren't there right now. I am going to try the above because I really need to get this fat off of me! THANKS!
  9. I did nothing yesterday. This morning: 30 min treadmill 30 min elliptical This evening: shooting for Slim in 6 DVD... I think it is 30 min long...
  10. I have an appt for my fill on the 31st. We are going on vacation the week before that and I don't want to be out of town if it is too tight or something. After reading what Paul said... I have concluded that I definitely need one. Probably not much at all, but I do need something. Telly, I vote Yes for your fill! You have done so well, and that fill will make it so much easier for you. (I was thinking of you on the elliptical today.... I wanted to stop at 15 min. but I hung on till 30) So... me, Emilee and Telly need fills... Watch out for the big losers, coming thru...
  11. You look awesome! I can't tell that you need a tummy tuck either. Congratulations!
  12. C 242.4 (-122.6 lbs total, +3.4 this week) So bummed out already this morning... I have been back and forth at 239-243 for like 2 weeks!!!! UGH! I guess I am at a freakin plateau. I HATE it! I am also considering getting another fill... I have been stomach growling hungry a lot more lately... so I will see. Trying to kick it up with the exercising and drinking NOTHING but Water. Absolutely no sweets either. Someone HELP!
  13. I hate to say it (NOT) but Amy is going to be passing us up in weightloss in no time!!! Welcome to bandland FUNNY!!!! Glad to hear you are well!
  14. Congratulations to you!!! I want to see pictures also! You will be there before you know it!!!
  15. My husband has ALWAYS known my weight. I have never been ashamed to tell him, we share everything with each other. There is no weight on my Driver's License, but if there was, I am sure I would lie about that. My friend's here at work that have the band know what I weighed when I started and what I weigh now. I certainly don't mind posting it here because it helps me and others to see progress and to support each other. Not many other people know. No one has been rude enough to ask me my weight. I think it is terribly rude to ask anyone how MUCH they weigh. I don't mind at all when someone asks how much I have lost... I cringe though when I tell them, because I am still large now, so I OBVIOUSLY was huge before.
  16. When someone asks me how I lost so much weight, I tell them that I am eating a lot less, cutting out sugar, and I joined a gym. No lies there. If someone were to actually come out and say "Did you have surgery?", I think that I am at the point now that I could tell them. I haven't specifically told anyone "No, I didn't have surgery." It really helps that my mom has lost about 100 lbs in the past 3 years, so everyone thinks I am doing what she did. No one in my small town even thinks about WLS.
  17. Those pics are horrible... Hope you are feeling better today.
  18. cute Betty Boop! Today I plan on taking a 30 minute walk when I get off of work. If DH isn't home to stay with DD, then I will do Tae Bo or Slim in 6 DVD... along with 500 crunches.
  19. The only people that were supportive were people here at work that have had it done. My DH was also, after he knew how bad I wanted it. No one else was supportive. I still think my mom doesn't like the idea...
  20. I SERIOUSLY doubt P'Nut is an alcoholic... sounds to me like she is just having fun!
  21. My surgeon recommended not swallowing anything larger than a Birth Control pill. He said to get everything in liquid or chewable form. My PCP absolutely doesn't want me crushing pills or even breaking them in half. He says you aren't really getting the full amounts if you do that...
  22. Yikes John!!! Glad to here you aren't too bad off. I hope you are able to get your medical bills paid for. And I hope they put that dog down!
  23. Where is our beloved P'Nut? She must be busy losing tons of weight at the gym? I am sending good thoughts and prayers out for Amy today... can't wait to hear about her surgery!
  24. Congrats Tricia!!! I was hoping everything would go smoothly for you guys! SO happy for ya!
