Very slow loss- I love my vegies, Im supposed to eat them second, but I always eat them first. I work next door to amn ice cream store and it is hard not to indulge when I smell them baking their waffle cones.

Hi all, Im going to have my second fill tomorrow, I hope it cuts down my appetite. My first fill my appetiite was down for about 11 days and then I become starving. The good thing is I finally have more energy. A three years ago I was in a car accident broke leg and arm, and unable to keep up with the house work. As soon as I would start to feel well was time for another surgery. I've been ok for a while now but over whelmed with where to start with the clutter. I am now pleased to say that I am getting through the mess. Even using a few power tools. Huray for me. Can any one tell me how to move my ticker in case I'm down at tomorrow's appointment. I don't remember having to enter a pin to create it. Esther

I have been making fruit smoothies and putting them in a cup that fits in my car cup holder, 1/3 to 1/2 c non fat unflavored yogurt- about 1/2 cup frozen fruit ( I also like Schwans Fruit and Vegie salsa ) add a scoop of vanilla protein powder and enough of what ever flavor of crystal lite I have on hand maybe 1/2 cup blend it all together. pour in cup. Give a quick to the blender and I am out the door. With the many varieties of frozen fruit- I have not yet gotten bored. A faster fix is chocolate protein power and some powered milk. 1/3 cup of powder makes one cup milk, I mix a bunch in advance and when I am really in a hurry I put a scoop and 1/2 in a mug and add hot water- quick stir and I have hot chocolate protein drink for the drive to work. -- Sometimes if I make my drink as soon as I get up I can drink it while putting on my makeup- or checking my morning e-mail.

Thanks Sharon, now I have another question. I just found out my elderly Uncle is having serious surgery on his spleen at the end of February and his Dr wants donations of blood in his name. Is there a restriction in how long to wait after surgery to donate, or does it matter. Esther.

Hi Group, I have a question- I'm 28days post banding, no fill yet, but I was wondering if any one is still having pain at their surgery sites. I am still too tender to wear pants that don't have elastic waist bands, - Those I tend to either pull up and over the tummy or under it. Also even though I am loosing, my waist is just as large if not still a little swollen. Is this normal? Is or did anyone else have that trouble. Esther

Hi, Unitygal, I'm 28days post surgery and already am completely off all of my blood pressure medicine- Im 12 lb off after banding, 10lb lost before surgery and another 10 for my son's wedding in November 07-- so that is 32 pounds - I'm half way to 62yrs. my bmi was 41- now only 38.8- I am glad I made the decision. Good luck on your decision making Esther
