  2. here I am again trying to see if I can make my ticker move
  3. Hi all, Im going to have my second fill tomorrow, I hope it cuts down my appetite. My first fill my appetiite was down for about 11 days and then I become starving. The good thing is I finally have more energy. A three years ago I was in a car accident broke leg and arm, and unable to keep up with the house work. As soon as I would start to feel well was time for another surgery. I've been ok for a while now but over whelmed with where to start with the clutter. I am now pleased to say that I am getting through the mess. Even using a few power tools. Huray for me. Can any one tell me how to move my ticker in case I'm down at tomorrow's appointment. I don't remember having to enter a pin to create it. Esther
  4. checking to see if my ticker works- I think I may find it motivating
  5. Thanks, my cousin is actually checking with my Uncle's Dr today. Thanks again. E
  6. Thanks Sharon, now I have another question. I just found out my elderly Uncle is having serious surgery on his spleen at the end of February and his Dr wants donations of blood in his name. Is there a restriction in how long to wait after surgery to donate, or does it matter. Esther.
  7. Hi Group, I have a question- I'm 28days post banding, no fill yet, but I was wondering if any one is still having pain at their surgery sites. I am still too tender to wear pants that don't have elastic waist bands, - Those I tend to either pull up and over the tummy or under it. Also even though I am loosing, my waist is just as large if not still a little swollen. Is this normal? Is or did anyone else have that trouble. Esther
  8. Hi, Unitygal, I'm 28days post surgery and already am completely off all of my blood pressure medicine- Im 12 lb off after banding, 10lb lost before surgery and another 10 for my son's wedding in November 07-- so that is 32 pounds - I'm half way to 62yrs. my bmi was 41- now only 38.8- I am glad I made the decision. Good luck on your decision making Esther
  9. Scruffy, I was banded on 28days ago, and my new "to me" gym required a DR release before using the facility. My Dr released me to use the pool on feb 08.
  10. Hi, Im Esther and actually in the over 60 group, but I saw this and want to say I had the same feeling and also kept going in to vertigo- Long story short- Im 28 days post op- combined with my pre-op diet, I have lost 30 lbs. If you take blood pressure medicine - have your dr check your pressure. I was on 2 pills a day- my WL dr had me go to one a day and 2 weeks later my medical dr had me stop the blood pressure medicine completly- I had droped down to 108/68 -- So if you still have bouts of weekness and fatique and any dizziness. Check your BP Good luck to you esther
  11. Thanks, Sharon, My daughter tells me the same thing that I am not drinking enough water. I think I will start writing that down along with my food intake and see what I am really doing Esther
  12. Hi Sfeiner and all, I'm Esther, I am new to the forum. 12-31 07 was my surgery date. I lost 9 lbs in 10 days and decided to experiment with the Cookies that are here for my grandson. One cookie -- I was 2 lbs lower the next day. So I ate 3 cookies - two lbs up, next day no cookies another 2 lbs up. It has been 9 days since the cookie incident and I cant seem to loose -- up and down but over all 2 lbs heavier than 9 days ago. I am desperate-- wonder if my Doctor will "kill" me. I have til the 31st til I see him. -- My back ground -- 40 start bmi, and only high bp as a co morbity- But I have a broken ankle that is not healing well due to arthritis setting in at the break, which is in such a spot that ankle replacement is not an option- ( the dr told me amputation was an option). I am hoping and praying that this surgery will help me loose enough weight to keep me on my own two feet for a long time. I would think it would be nice to say my recomendation is don't ever cheat -- But since it has been over a week and I gained back another pound since yesterday. Im worried that I will be "one of those people" who can't loose. Sigh-- I will try to give a better report next week. Esther
