No my boss just put pieces together and asked me point blank. I was thinking how awkward that conversation might have been if I wasn't in a WLS program and got called out lol. Like its the new "are you pregnant Question"

I am at a loss right now. I was in my boss' office from my weekly review and she point blank asked me if all my appointments lately are for bariatric surgery. I only told family, a few close friends and an HR rep. I didn't feel comfortable telling anyone else. She said another person in the office is doing it and recognized my Protein drinks. I can't lie(ever it's a curse) so I said yes but then to change the direction I said "but I'm also getting a hernia repaired too". And then I said I wasn't telling anyone and don't feel comfortable with others knowing my medical info. I just really feel deflated. I don't know how else to put it. I only told those I trusted and could count on for support. Maybe I'm overreacting but i was really caught off guard.
  6. My program is the same. We are told to drink carnation instant breakfast with water.
  7. Oh I definitely worry about the future way too much lol.
  8. I'm terrified to think about dating. It's almost been a year since my divorce. I signed up for match and eharmony. I purposely put a bad picture and still got a few hits. I immediately thought something must be wrong with them. I've since deleted the apps. And then I wonder how will I be able to date after WLS? What if I have horrible saggy skin? How could you start dating someone and the spring that on a new person. It just causes me so much anxiety.
  9. I am looking at March/April surgery date myself [emoji4]. Can't wait!!!
  10. I need to find a hobby bad. Lol
  11. I am not a fan of protein shakes but I was given a sample of Syntha6 chocolate peanut butter cookie flavor. I just tried it this evening and oh boy it's like drinking a milkshake. No lie its yummy. It has more carbs than I would like but at 12g I'll deal with it. I blended it with ice and almond milk. I am thrilled to finally find a protein shake that I like. Good luck
  12. I'm a few months out from surgery and I'm prepping now lol!! Started to increase my biotin and I'm working on my protein now versus after the surgery. I don't know if that will make a difference but it makes me feel better at least trying to be proactive. It may be no use but for now it's my plan. I'm also thinking about cutting my hair shorter so the weight doesn't help the hair loss.
  13. I'm scheduled to meet with Dr. Varnell next month!! Yes I'd love to know about your experience. I'm so anxious.
  14. Lol all these posts about protein sampling is cracking me up. I'm glad I'm not alone in my search. I wonder how much money is spent searching for a protein that can be tolerated.
  15. Omg seriously?? ???????????? as if I didn't have enough to worry about
  16. I read so many reviews and got nitro tech from Amazon. It was horrendous. I've also tried isagenix too. I am so scared I'm going to ruin my chance because I can't tolerate them. I'll keep looking and pray I find something I can tolerate.
  17. Thank you so much for the advice. I truly appreciate it.
  18. I have never liked protein shakes and it sounds like they are pretty much required before and after surgery. I can't stand the chalky and artificial taste. Any recommendations? I really want to find something and start a diet now. Please help!!!!!
  19. I've seen a few threads about Bailey but they seem over now. Has anyone been a patient at this facility? I'd really like to get information from someone who's been through the program. Thanks
