  1. Today, I am 9 months post op! I'm down 148 since surgery and 203 from my highest weight! I "only" lost 7 pounds this month, which is less than half of my average, so I'm thinking I am leaving the honeymoon phase. :'( 7 Pounds is still 7 pounds, and my life and health are both really great. So, no complaints here!

Yes my PA said no drinking after was very important to not stretch your new stomach - so do be careful.

I am frustrated also - it amazes me how I can eat less that 1000 calories and not lose !!! Lets just try and be so happy for what we have lost - knowing lucky us we are slow but wonderful ;)

and I will cling to the idea in month 3-4 its gonna come off a bit faster ... I am way way happy I have lost 41 pounds though - my doctor is also - YAY!!!

  12. Hi everyone. Thursday, Friday and Saturday I was walking because I felt so good on Thursday and Friday. However I think I have been doing too much walking and sewing. Last night as I was working on sewing a curtain for my patio which I hope to me able to get out onto in the next coming weeks my back across the shoulder really started to hurt. Today the lower back shoulder pain has moved to the side breast underarm pit area. Is it possible for that pain to move? It makes me wonderful if the lower back shoulder pain I had was gas pain due to the laparoscopic surgery. If it is when does this gas pain truly leave the body? This new location pain hurts as much as the lower shoulder back pain did. Also how is it possible to gain weight when all I have had is protein soups and shakes? Yesterday when I got on the scale I was up 4 pounds. It makes no sense. Does liquid Tylenol with codeine cause weight gain even when you don't eat anything? Sorry for the venting but today is not a good day. I am frustrating that I may be backsliding not progressing.

Hi I am not sure about the gas pains - I am one week out of surgery and have been trying to walk a bit when I feel up to it probably not as hard as you walk tho. I was also having a meltdown over my weight gain from surgery so good news day 8 from surgery and finally lost 2 lbs .... geez seems slow but so happy to finally be lower than my weight before the surgery!!! Hope your gas pain subsides soon!

  14. I've been stalled for most of this month. But today I stepped on the scale and was pleasantly surprised to see that I'm exactly 100 pounds down since surgery, and 155 down since my highest. I can barely believe it!

Would you share with me how much protein, nutrients, fluids and activity is your goal? Just got home from hospital yesterday I am trying to get 60 g protein, 48 ozs water I would like to get an idea of how many steps on my fitbit I should get? Thanks so much a bit confused about now because I have gained weight with hardly eating anything ... about 6 pounds so kind of discouraged - thanks so much and congrats on your success!!!!
