  1. I would love to join the group! I'm not telling a lot of people about my sleeve tho. If I become a page member will my other friends see that I became a member of the page Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk They will not I believe bc it is a closed group and no one on my friends list can see I'm in the group as I also am not telling anyone but a very select few.
  2. Sure my BMI is 44 and I don't have any CM. The insurance people were so nice and I think calling them and staying on top of it was key. You have to have a BMI greater than 40 and six months of nutrition classes or a BMI of 35 or greater with CM plus also the six months of classes and also need the psych eval and such. Hope it turns out good for you

    Pre op diet.

Mine is two week of two protein shakes and a small meal at night. The day before is clear liquids only. Which is Wednesday and I'm super excited and nervous :-/
  4. Hi everyone. I was reading the blog and see that you all are being sleeved in January. There is a private group on Facebook called January 2016 sleevers from bariatric pal and it's really great. Since we're all going thru it and around the same time it has been a tremendous support. Check it out if you all want. Good luck to you all.
  5. I was approved!!! January 14th is the date. Six days away. So excited. Thank you so much for the words of wisdom and faith.
  6. Thank u so much. You are right. Staying positive will definitely give me peace of mind and in the end it'll work out as its meant too. Thank u
  7. So I did everything that I was told. Six months supervised nutrition visits, Doctor after Doctor clearances and now my surgery coordinator submits for my approval for the 14th and mind you I have been on my pre op diet since last week and she says that Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield is maybe going to deny for one more visit because how they count months!!! This is crazy and so nerve racking. I've been on the journey for a while now and never missed anything and followed the plan. Yesterday was the first time I wanted to give up. I'm trying to have hope that the insurance approves it but they say they're still waiting on clinical from Doctor and of course the Doctor says they've sent it. Feeling depressed for the first time in the whole process. Sorry. I had to vent. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Thanks

    Empire BCBS

Hey there. I also have empire BCBS. I noticed you said that you had to do seven months of weigh in. How come not six?
  9. Hello everyone! My surgery, after five months of Being on the Doctor train is January 14,2016. I am so beyond excited and nervous and excited, and well you get the picture lol. I currently weighing 293 (can't believe I just shared that) and my goal is 155. My height is 5'8 and I am determined to use this opportunity as a fresh start. It's a scary journey, anytime we embark on the unknown it is, but overall when we think positive our lives become positive. I love having this forum to talk with others and find that there is many tips that are going to be useful. So excited.

    January 14, 2016 surgery

Hello There! I am also scheduled for January 14,2016. And also start my liquid diet 12/31! It is finally setting in that it's happening. I'm calling it my new rebirth because to me it's a chance to use it as a tool and really jumpstart being the woman I am inside. Good luck to you and we should keep eachother updated with it all. And any good tips that come our way.
