  1. I think some of the other suggestions are good but, personally, I would just tell them that it's none of their business. And then, just smile and walk away.
  2. Dimples, I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulty after surgery. I hope that you feel better very soon. *hugs*
  3. Happy May everyone!! I turn 35 on the 20th!! I'm excited to turn 35 because this is the year I get pregnant....at least, I hope so.
  4. At my 1-week post-op visit, the nurse practitioner removed my steri-strips. I suggest that you call the doctor's office and ask them their opinion.
  5. I've traveled several times after getting banded and had no issues with my band setting off the metal detector. As far as air pressure affecting your band, I've only had it happen once, during our last trip to Vegas in February. I was a bit more restricted for a few days but it subsided. Have fun!
  6. *sending good thoughts your sister's way* Best of luck for a speedy recovery!
  7. Congratulations, Emily!! Keep up the good work!!
  8. Due to allergies, I cannot wear anything but gold or sterling silver in my ears or on my fingers. I don't have the same issues with watches though. I don't have an answer for the staples question as I had cat-gut (internal) dissolving stitches and steri-strips. Good luck!
  9. I got an unfill of .3cc this morning so I'm going to concentrate on water and protein today. Of course, I had to have a latte!! Breakfast: none Snack: 20 oz. latte made w/ whole milk & 3 Splenda Lunch: 1/2 Lean Cuisine Pepperoni Pizza Snack: 1/8 c. cashews Dinner: 2 meatballs w/ 1 slice american cheese and 3 olives Total Calories: 632 Total Fat: 36 grams - 51% Total Carbs: 51 grams - 30% Total Protein: 29 grams - 19%
  10. I went in this morning to get a slight unflll - .3cc - and now feel 100% better. Chris (the nurse practitioner) pulled out .2cc then had me drink some Water. It still hurt a little (golfball feeling) and I was so thirsty so stuck the needle in, took all of the fill out, then had me drink the 16oz. bottle of water that I had with me. Then, she pushed it all back in, had me drink a little more water, which was still a little uncomfortable. So, after all was said and done, she took out another .1cc, which brings me to .1cc less than what I had in there last Tuesday. That's ok though because I'm probably a bit swollen from the 4 PB's I've had in the past 3 days...ugh! She told me that to give it a few days and if I felt I needed to have that .1cc put back in to call her and she'll accommodate me.
  11. I'm posting this for j.s. - the tiger cat is Katie and the white and gray kitty is Brandi.
  12. Thanks again, everyone! Mvpo, I stand 5'6" tall.
  13. Great pics, everyone!! Thanks for noticing, Paula. We don't allow our cats outside and they ALWAYS have their collars on.
  14. Breakfast: 4 oz. protein shake Lunch: none Snack: none Dinner: 1/4 c. colby jack cheese, diced and 3 wheatables Total Calories: 378 Total Fat: 24 grams - 59% Total Carbs: 11 grams - 12% Total Protein: 27 grams - 29%
  15. Thank you, everyone. I sincerely appreciate the kind words. Good luck to everyone!!
  16. Thanks, guys! Diane - yes, the fill is too tight. I'm going in tomorrow morning for a slight unfill. It kicked in yesterday and - wow! I'm doing my best to hydrate myself rather than focusing on Protein. Good luck to everyone!!!
  17. South Louisiana - $2.79/gallon
  18. :clap2: Congratulations, Jamie!! :clap2:
  19. -2 pounds for me and now I'm in ONEDERLAND!!
  20. Even though I'm a bit too restricted, the weekend was good to me. I'm at 199.
  21. Onederland!!! Enough said.
  22. I absolutely LOVE my Element. So many people think it's ugly but I couldn't care less. They're not driving it, right? :eekB:
  23. Cute car, Mary. I haven't taken photos of our cars, but I did find a few online. We have a 2005 Honda Element and a 2006 BMW 325i. They are exactly the same colors as those shown below.
  24. Not all are females, but the majority are. Males occur in about 1 in 3000 calico-colored cats and are typically sterile. For odd genetic reasons, it takes two XX chromosomes for a cat to be calico-colored. So, a male calico-colored cat would require two XX and one Y chromosome, hence the rarity.
