  1. Is there any support groups for either of these two counties in Ohio. Something close to Columbus, Hilliard, Grove City, West Jeff would be great. Thanks

    Franklin or Madison County Ohio

Thanks. I had my surgery out of town and I'm doing very well so far. I'm 7 months out and it's getting hard. I've lost over 100 pounds. I want to stay on track. I will check these places. I'm just not sure since I didn't have my surgery at these hospitals that I can join their groups. Thank you both very much. [emoji4]

    Shoe size?

I was just sleeved 12/7. I was wearing 8W and already down to 7.5M. Feels good not to have to buy wides. It's hard to find anything I like it wides and most stores don't carry many.
  4. I was sleeved Dec 17 and I feel my weight is slow coming off also. Post Op weight 302. Surgery day 277 and today 242. I can't seem to eat over 500 calories a day. Just seems it should be faster. I think maybe it's age or starting BMI. I guess at least we are losing and I think slow may be better in the long run. ????????

    Stall one week out?

I was sleeved Dec 17 and stalled last week and still am. It is upsetting knowing you are only eating about 500 calories. However, thanks to the support on here we know this is part of this life long battle.

    Prayers

God is good all the time and all the time God is good. This post is great. What a wonderful thought. I pray all the time and know Gods plans is for us to prosper. A great reminder to know God has this. Lets always pray for one another. ????
  11. Christmas is so hard and I so want to get depressed but I'm not going to fall into that. I'm 7 days post op and can only have purée food which I'm finding very gross. Just started that yesterday. I have made cookies and fudge and today cooking a big Christmas dinner. My wonderful husband is helping a lot. I just can't be selfish and not do it for my kids, which I haven't told about my surgery. They think I'm just not feeling well, which is true. I'm not myself yet. Wanted to share this in case anyone else is going through the same. It's hard because I wish I could enjoy dinner with them.
  12. Except when I first woke up, I've never really felt pain. Went to work 5 days later. I do get tired faster. My BMI was 48.

Weight Gain 3 days post op?

I was up 8 pounds 2 days post op and was so upset. Some pals on here told me this can happen because all the IVs. Now I'm 7 days post op and down a total of 10 pounds since surgery. Hang in there that fluid weight will drop plus more.
  14. Mine was only about 45 minutes. Recovery 4 hours and discharged. I'm one week out and doing well. According to my doctor on a track and I've lost total of 40 since pre op diet 4 weeks ago. 10 since surgery last week.
  15. Tomorrow I get to start with the purée foods. Can anyone please share some ideas and recipes?? Thanks for all your support.
  16. I had my sleeve this past Thursday December 17. I'm thinking about going back to work tomorrow December 21. I work in an office so it's not a physical job. What's the soonest some of you all went back to work? PS. I still feel a little weak but my husband will drive me.
  17. I was told today that my purée foods should have be the consistency of applesauce. I get started tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
  18. I'm wondering if it's just me but I can't get myself to tell my family and friends I was sleeved December 17. Only a few people know but everyone is starting to asking questions. My two grown sons are starting to think I have a serious health issue. That makes me feel bad. I don't want them to worry. I can do about anything but keeping weight off is one thing I can't. It does make me feel ashamed of myself that I don't have the will power to do this on my own. --- Did anyone else feel this way and if so how did you handle it??? Thanks for any input.
  19. My surgery was on 12/17/15 and no drain. Never heard about a drain until now. So glad I didn't have one. Sounds very uncomfortable.

    Back to work. How soon?

Thanks. I went back for a few hours today. I got really tired. It's a lot different sitting at home vs sitting in an office. lol. I didn't drive. I just don't feel safe driving at this time even though I'm not taking pain medicine any more. Seeing all the holiday food they had there was hard.

    December 14th Sleevers

I was sleeved Dec 17th and this has to be the worst time. I work in an office where anything bad to eat is there. Plus all the Christmas parties. I feel like I'm an outcast. I can't believe I feel this way. I am happy I'm going to get healthy but sad because to I'm missing out. Also I love baking for family and friends and I am not able.

    "Coming out"

I understand. The only person that knows about me in my family is my husband. The rest of them just think I'm sick. My surgery was Thursday December 17. For some reason I feel bad I could never keep weight off.
  23. I had my surgery yesterday. I lost almost 30 during my pre op diet. Why is it today my weight is up about 6 pounds? I've only had clear liquids and meds.
  24. Thanks for your replies. I did have about 4 bags of IV fluid.
