Why weight gain 2nd day from surgery?

I had my surgery yesterday. I lost almost 30 during my pre op diet. Why is it today my weight is up about 6 pounds? I've only had clear liquids and meds.

I gained 6 lbs of water weight during my surgery as well. I lost 5 of it within the first 24 hours I was home. This was with my getting in 52 oz of fluids and two popcicles today.

Thanks for your replies. I did have about 4 bags of IV fluid.
