I had my surgery yesterday. I lost almost 30 during my pre op diet. Why is it today my weight is up about 6 pounds? I've only had clear liquids and meds.

Completely common. It is the excess fluids they gave you and swelling. May take up around 7-10 days for that to calm down and loss to start showing (not to mention your body is trying to catch up from the quick 30 pounds you lost). Try to stay off the scale the first week.

I gained 6 lbs of water weight during my surgery as well. I lost 5 of it within the first 24 hours I was home. This was with my getting in 52 oz of fluids and two popcicles today.

Wait a few days before stepping on the scale. Your body needs time to adjust to everything it's been through.
