I had mine done on Nov 9th and I'm not regretting it all together but i have had a little bit of remorse as to having this done right before the Holidays.. Thanksgiving was tough and i cant imagine Christmas time.. I am getting bored of food i don't know what to eat anymore.. I'm down about 30lbs but i have been at a stall for like a week now..

CaroVee reacted to Dub in Well.......I'm seeing the 3-4 week stall. Interdasting !
    I've read all the posts on it........some stall.......some don't.
All I know is that I have followed the plan and done what I was supposed to.....activity has been low and I'm upping that now as back feels better and hernia repair has healed along nicely.
Surgeon saw me Monday and said he's not concerned with first month's scale readings.
He started me on soft foods and challenged me to experiment with various Proteins and to stay well hydrated and have fun with it.
Scale hasn't moved in over a week which has been weird.......but clothes continue to get more baggy and I feel better each day.
I'm sticking to the plan and enjoying the changes and see how easy it is to get overly scale-focused.
All is well. All is on course. Just had to laugh and say that I had the same 3-4 week stall that I'd seen posted so often.
No worries. All is good. Just a funny occurrence along the way towards losing the weight.

Why am I thankful? Exactly 2 years ago today I suffered a massive stroke which woke me around 7 a.m. I ended up in mayo Hospital for 6 days and then straight to Brooks Rehab for an additional 10 days. At age 52 you just don’t think this will ever happen to you. It’s been an uphill battle but I’ve faced every challenge (left with severe nerve condition on right side of my body) with a positive attitude and spirit. I’m blessed beyond measure with the support of loving family members and friends. Mayo Hospital has saved my life more than once … stroke, pain rehab for my nerve condition and then RNY surgery! Losing this weight is the last piece to my recovery puzzle as I never want to experience another stroke again!!! Hard to believe when I look at these pictures side by side that only 7 months have passed and I’ve already lost 93 lbs. I also love the fact that I was only able to eat half the grilled chicken breast (minus half the cheese as it was overkill) with the delicious grilled zucchini at lunch this past Monday - thank you pouch I'm 5'2" HW 285 SW 257 (pic on left) CW 164 GW 130! I hope everyone has a very blessed and thankful Thanksgiving this year!

Awesome. I am getting close. My goal weight is between 215 and 225. I'm 228 right now. I signed up Wednesday for a last min 5K at Angel stadium this weekend. I am enjoying these running events. Looking forward to the Star Wars race at Disneyland in Jan.

The infamous 3 week stall. It will pass. Look it from your body's point of view. Major surgery, still healing, and wacked out caloric intake changes. It's going to put the brakes on things until it figures out what is going on and adjusts. Keep with your program. It will be fine. I just broke my 3 week stall.

Yes, a stall is very common about three weeks after surgery. Almost everyone experiences one about that time. Also, the duration of your stalls can vary. In fact, it's not really a stall as far as I'm concerned unless it lasts longer than a week, but, of course, I weigh no more than once a week, or less often.
Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process. If you intend to lose a large amount of weight then you will experience stalls.
Just focus on following your program. Make sure you get in all of your Protein and fluids every day, take your Vitamins and supplements as directed, and exercise.
If you let the numbers on the scale drive you crazy, then the best thing to do is to stay off the scale.< /p>
