    Losing hair !

Help!! I have started losing hair about a month ago. I was sleeved in December 2015. I wasn't getting my Protein requirements for awhile but that has since been rectified. I get at least 90g a day, but I am still losing a significant amount of hair. Other people can tell I'm thinning around my hair line but otherwise I can only tell that my hair is thinner throughout the rest of my hair. How long before it slows down! I'm having a slight breakdown over it! Thanks ! Oh and I also use Nioxin to wash my hair and take Biotin supplements along with my normal daily Vitamin Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Before and After Pics

60 lbs down 40 to go:) Don't mind my sour puss in the after photo. I was irritated over something and my mom wanted to snap a picture of me and the first picture is in Harry Potter world. So I was pretty happy there gahaha Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    CIGNA DENIED ME AGAIN!

I work for Cigna, and they denied my pre auth multiple times before they approved it. My surgeon did the peer to peer and was told that they would approve as long as he personally wrote a letter stating I needed the surgery and they still denied, my insurance coordinator called to our pre auth dept and got on the phone w a supervisor. Needless to say I was approved 3 days before my actual surgery. As long as your doctors office calls, whether it's to do a peer to peer or to get on the phone w their supervisor they should approve. Cignas coverage policy states that as long as the patient has a BMI over 40 , you don't need a co morbidity. I hope it works out for you Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Nauseous!

I hated my shake. I drank the premier Protein they were 30g of protein. I would drink 2 a day and honestly I would just open up my throat and pour the drink down it as fast as I could. I know they want you to learn to sip and after the surgery I did but I can't stand the shakes, they made me so sick. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    ****TMI WARNING****

I'm actually opposite. I had my period like 5 days after my surgery then I haven't had it since except for a day or 2 right before I restarted my birth control and a day or 2 after I started the pills. I'm not pregnant, my body just doesn't want to bleed apparently. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Sensitive subject

Hmm. I will definitely have to get checked out. I used to have high testosterone due to PCOS, but it's been normal for the last couple of years but that was before my weight loss. I wonder if it's changed. I'll have to make an apt. I'm glad you're feeling better! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Congrats on the weight loss, that is awesome !! I wish I was getting energy. I feel the farther away from the surgery I get the less energy I have. Fingers crossed my hormones figure it shit out. I'm 54lbs down and I want to enjoy this weight loss lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I hear ya. I used to be all about me time but I can't even get into that. I'm engaged and I should be jumping my fiancés bones every chance I get but I can't even be bothered with it. Sometimes I can't stand to be touched. I feel bad bc he has been dealing with this for awhile, 2 months before my sleeve , I have a major cervical spine surgery so it's been awhile since I've felt up to even making an attempt. I just feel bad all around. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Well when you put it like that I feel terrible because my fiancé obviously isn't going through changes like my body is and his sex drive is just as it always if but I just can't be bothered with it. I just hope it rights itself soon. Thanks for responding though! I really appreciate it ! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. It passes. After my surgery I felt great but was light headed and dizzy sometimes. That passed, now I'm in a slump because of my hormones but just keep trucking you did something so awesome for yourself and you are going to through a rollercoaster of emotions and changes. You got this! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Food advice

I'm out of the stages. I'm solid food now with trying new things at home just I case. So far everything I've tried has sat with me great with the exception of eggs. But you're right ! Thanks for the advice
  13. I am a little over a month post op. A little under 2 months since the whole shebang started (the preop diet) and I am down 41 lbs. I expect to hit my goal of 59 more lbs by the end of this year at the latest and at least 3/4 of my weight goal by my wedding in October. That 41 lbs is without excercising. I can't work out right now due to medical problems I'm having post neck surgery I had in October. I have faith that anyone who wants to lose their goal can do it ! Good luck with everything ❤️❤️
  14. I'm looking for a good warm breakfast idea. Eggs don't sit well with me since the surgery I get pretty sick so I want to stay away from them. I have the special k protein cereal but I'm looking for something that is warm to eat, and I am not a fan of oatmeal. Anyone have any suggestion?

    Eternally thirsty!

I don't drink anything with caffeine . At least not yet haven't. I may drink some ice tea down the road but I'm only a little less than a month out. I just don't know how I can get any more liquid in my system with all of the water I drink and then my food. I do use some salt so I guess that could be it. I'll try the Gatorade tho thanks!
