  1. Not banded yet either, but looking forward to the same kind of results. Give yourself a big pat on the back. Please tell me about the surgery. What can you eat? What do they mean they "can feel the port", does it hurt? What do people mean it is "tight" in the morning. Does it hurt? Any info would be appreciated from anyone who has had this banding done.
  2. Now is the time to quit. Take this advice from someone who smoked and had to have 5-way-bypass surgery 5 years ago. I have never smoked a cigarette since, but unfortunately I gained weight. Go figure. I'm just giving you a bad time. I recall everytime I was stressed I smoked, but I paid the price big time. Try using the patch. I had to go cold turkey but I was in so much pain from having my chest cracked open a cigarette was the last thing on my mind. I think my surgery is a few mo. away, but I wanted to meet some people on here and know what the surgery was like and what to expect. Good Luck.
  3. Hi, I'm also in Idaho. I haven't had my surgery yet, but Medicare has finally approved paying for the surgery so I can have it here. So glad to see the progress you have made.
