  1. I am a physical therapist and we have a plateform vibration machine and it does not help with weight loss, it is made for people with back and spinal problems.
  2. I waited about a week also, as the person before said just be careful! Some positions are not so comfortable!
  3. I do not regret my band either, I have been banded almost 2 months. You do get frustrated as you are having to re-train yourself to eat smaller bites and chew alot. I have lost 38lbs so far and I am down 4 pant sizes! It is so worth it! Good Luck!
  4. Hi everyone, I just joined DFW Bandsters today and I am very interested in when ya'll have meetings or anything I can get involved in. Could someone please give me information on your group! Thank you so much!
  5. sugar free popsicles, pudding, (believe it or not that consider that a liquid) gatorade, beef broth, applesauce, I did all those. I am just now on mushy food and loving it! :pray2:
  6. I went to a seminar about December 12th, had my consultation a week later and then had my surgery on January 4th. I was a self pay so it is a much faster process. I need to loose 80lbs and I have lost 20 so far. I had my surgery on Friday and went back to work on Monday even though I was still tired. You start feeling really good around the 4th-5th day. They want you to talk to a physchiatrist to make sure you are really ready for this surgery, since it is a life changing surgery. You have to put alot of work into this surgery to make it a sucess. It is not easy believe me! Well good luck with your journey!
  7. I have a feeling they will not cover your surgery being you have no other "co-morbitites" such as High blood pressure, diabetes, things of that nature. It is VERY hard to get insurances to pay for this surgery. I just went self pay as it is much easier that way. Good Luck in your journey!
  8. Hi Chell, I was banded on 1/4/08 and I love it so far. I have lost 22lbs already. Surgery was simple, little sore after, I went back to work 2 days later! I go for my first fill on 2/4/08, but as of right now, I am not hungry at the least bit! It will be a great decision for you and it will help you in the long run! Good Luck!
  9. I can not believe you are already eating normal food! I just started mushy food yesterday and I can not have "solid" foods for 2 more weeks! You are lucky! I am nervous about my fill also, but from people I know they say it is a piece of cake! I will let you know!
  10. Believe it or not, it has not been near as hard as I thought! I stopped liquids yesterday, Thank god! I started mushy food today and I had 3 oz of tuna w/ low fat mayo and I feel stuffed! I have lost as of today 22 lbs and I was banded a week ago. I walked for 52 minutes yesterday and that was a great accomplishment for me! I have 60 more lbs to go! I get my first fill in 2 weeks! Pipa keep me posted on your progress, You can do it!
  11. I was banded on 1/4/08 and I am scheduled for my first fill on 2/4/08, exactly 4 weeks! My doctor seems to be more aggressive than most, but I am still not hungry! I started on mushy food yesterday, I have to do that for the next 2 weeks, then I can start on solids also!
  12. I was banded on 1/4/08 which was a Friday and I went back to work on Monday 01/07/08. I was very tired but I made it! I am an accounting manager, I do sit at a desk, but I also have to walk alot!
  13. I had surgery on 1/4/08 which was a Friday and went back to work that Monday! I was super tired.
  14. Hello there, I am also new. I was banded last Friday January 4th and I have lost 22lbs so far! I am from Irving, Tx! You will do great and it is normal to be so excited and then scared! Good Luck!
