  1. My surgeon says that following surgery we can eat only protein. They said that avoidance of carbs is the main part of losing weight. So no fruit or veggies. So I'm wondering what else I can eat besides meat and cheese. I see people on here saying that they're having yogurt or chili and I don't see how because everything I find has carbs in it. Eating all this meat and cheese sometimes leaves me feeling weighed down even though it's only a couple ounces at a time. Any suggestions?
  2. So to start, I'm not freaking out but I'm really just curious. I lost 18lbs first week after surgery but now I'm kinda stuck. I assume this is no big deal but I'm looking for a little assurance from some veteran sleevers
  3. I am 27. I started at 310 with a 51.1 BMI. I am 5 days post op and between pre op diet and post I'm already down to 283. I'm very excited to keep this going.
  4. I'm on day 2 of my 14 day diet. And I am struggling! My surgeon requires 2 Protein shakes and 4oz of meat and veggies for dinner. What I don't get is why the limit on meat intake? I thought the purpose was to get more protein. Anybody have any idea why this is?

@@Karak2007 My Dr office submits it to insurance right away. So while I'm getting my appts. done it can be approved.

The wait is killing me too! I'm impatient and I have sleep apnea so I can't wait to be able to sleep without that stupid mask!

I'm hoping December or January too. I was lucky and don't have to do much for my insurance to cover it. I'm just waiting on approval.

Thanks everybody! I guess it is better to fix it early.

Yes I am! Been playing since I was seven.
  10. Hey guys! I'm just getting rolling with everything. Waiting on insurance approval and getting my clearances done. I feel unbelievably impatient! I also kind of feel like I'm in the minority here. I'm only 27 and I feel like everyone is older. Like maybe I'm too young to be resorting to surgery. But at the same time I'm only 5'5" and have a BMI of 51 so I don't want to keep waiting. I'm sure it's just jitters though. Either way thank you to everybody that posts on here. It's a great tool for me!
