Becareful... sometimes they say the fills are included and the actual office visit is not... I paid 17,500 for surgery with a year of lapband fills but the office visit was $110 so i actually paid $110 for fills... now that im over 1 yr out... i pay $110 for Office Visit and $150 for fills... so thats $260 a fill !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi!!! Im on durango and blue diamond... so not too far from you! I had my surgery in 08 by Dr. Teng... I hear Dr Teng and Hannah are pretty close and do surgerys together?? Anyways!! How are you doing?? I added you on AIM... Im Mymeshelle on AIM too :w00t:

I was upset with Dr Teng and his staff over money in the past... but i have to say i am VERY HAPPY with my results from my lapband... he is very strict... but thats what we need!!!

How does that liquid prenatal taste? I think im gonna get a complete unfill so i might be fine with pills... If im too hungry i might get a little fill.... Im TTC... using a fertility monitor... so i should be preggo mid Dec 09... it worked the 1st month with my son... so im hoping it will happen fast again this time around!!:confused:

Im usually tighter right away ... then after a couple days and the swelling goes down its not so tight... I didnt get restriction til fill #2...

My DR gave me like a lifetime supply of things to stick up my butt if i ever get to that point hahahaha They work!!

Im 10 months post op and i LOVE my band... i have had no issues with it... i was too tight at 1 point and needed an unfill but that was my fault cuz i asked the DR to fill me more...I will never remove my band.... I have lost over 100 pnds in 10 months... so its been good to me!!

I eat alot less then her tho? And i didnt start working out til a week ago... is everyone that different? I can only eat like 2oz's 3x a day...

Each time you have an episode where you throw up you need to go on liquids for 24 hrs to let your stomach rest from the trama... and if you eat more protein you will stay full longer....

We all went through what you are going through... i had no restriction and i was hungry from day 1!! I was still hungry and able to eat alot after my first fill... it was not til my 2nd fill i felt the band and started to lose weight.... after my 2nd fill i could only eat 2-3oz's and i was fine only eating 3 times a day... so be patient, i know its hard... cuz it was for me!

Get a fill... no matter how hard i tried... i could never eat whatever i want.... a fill will motivate you too!

PS My Dr wouldnt fill until 6 weeks too... that is the protcol for the Inamed lapband...

I had GERD... its gone... I was banded July 2008 ... almost 8 months ago and i have lost 100 pnds... im 5 pnds from my goal... 170 isnt my ideal weight... but it looks the best on me... My sleep apnea is gone... You have to want the surgery... no one can talk you into it... My friend had gastric 1 month after me... i have lost more weight to date then him... Dr's get paid like $10,000-$20,000 more to do bypass... so i see some pushing it more then lapband... its sad but true....

I agree with the girls above... and im a dental assistant... so im gonna throw in to see your dentist... you might just need a good cleaning!!! :party:

Congrats!! I feel you about nothing losing unless you are "tight" i can only eat 2 oz's and i had another fill... i think i might be too tight now tho... but my weight is dropping off... i think i might wait til im at goal then go get an unfill... I dont mind living on liquids if im losing well...

Liquids in... Liquids out... i had the same thing... i had to chop up an imodium 1 day i couldnt take it anymore!!

I had a fill today and im on liquids for 2 days... you get to eat solids the same day as your fill?

My Doctor dont seem to care unless i cant drink liquids... i told them at 1 point i was living on soup... and they were OK with it.....They did not wanna do an unfil...

I was having the same problem too ... i could do liquid but i threw up any food i ate... they told me my stomach was swollen so much that it was keeping me from being able to eat solids... so i went back to liquids... then mushies for like a week and im so much better now... anytime you throw up you should stay on liquids the rest of the day... also i kept forcing myself to eat 4oz's and my stomach only holds 2-3oz's so i was throwing up from over eating... in my head i kept thinking there was no way that eating 3-5 bites was gonna fill me up... so i pushed myself and that was causing me to throw up... My DR wouldnt unfil me cuz i was still able to drink liquids... they were ok with me living on soup i guess... they told me as i lose more weight then my band will loosen and i will be able to eat a lil more later... But it sure dont hurt to have it all checked out to make sure its in place... i feel like my band was placed a lil higher?? So my pouch is smaller then others? Who knows!! :tongue2:

Im almost 6 months out... what can u eat there???... im still living on soups.... Im so sad!!!!!!!

Ya i emailed my DR... i so dont want to cause a slip from getting sick... but i dread eating cuz i hate how i feel after... and i find myself leaning towards eating soups only... i just didnt wanna have to pay to have an unfill... i paid cash for my surgery and was told fills were covered for 1 yr and now they are saying that i need to pay an $110 Office Visit fee when i go in for a fill.... im kinda upset with the whole situation so i been avoiding going in :biggrin:

I had my 2nd fill 1.5 months ago... and ever since i cant eat even close to the 4 oz's i was told is normal... i feel like im not eating enough... but if i eat more then my 5 bites i get sick... Im not sure if i should get an unfill?? Seems like everything i eat i burp up for like 1 hr after eating too... i have no problem with liquids... i just dont want to mess my band up! Help!
