    October List of Surgery's

I did pretty good over the holidays. The past week the scale was stuck at 195 but this morning it was 194. I've been going to the gym for abt 30 min and am thinking I'm going to have to increase to 45 to 60 min. In the 30 min, I'm able to to 1.5 miles. I'm going to Vegas Feb 8 and would like to be 180 but will be tickled for 185 and to reach that, I will definitely have to go longer at the gym. The sagging skin under my arms is really bothering me and I hate it. I got a resistance machine last night so I'm hoping that will help tone my arms. I don't go back to the dr until April and then I'm going to ask abt surgery to take care of the loose skin. What's everyone else doing for loose saggy skin?

    Insurance coverage

My surgery was close to 80k and my cost after insurance was just under 7k.
  4. Good for everyone! I want to be below 200 by Christmas and I was 199. This morning I'm 197. My hw was 256, sw was 227 and today 197. I've been going to the gym these past few days and will continue to go,even though I hate it. I however like the results.
  5. @@anewme2015 I m in the same boat. I haven't had any problems eating foods which puts me into stinking thinking. I am down 30 pounds since Oct 15 and recently started hitting the gym. I'm hoping to be at 180 by Feb 8, right now I'm 197. If not 180 then as close as possible. How's everyone else?
  6. For me it was almost instantly. I got approved right away. All I needed to do was have my psych eval, which I did right away and then I had to lose 25 pounds, which I took my sweet time. All in all from start to finish was one yr. I didn't have to redo anything. My hw was 256 Oct 2014, surgery Oct 15, 2015 weight was 227 and this morning 198. Like others have said, it's different for everyone. Keep thinking positive.
  7. @@edie091371 I'm guessing busy with work and family, I know I have been. Almost back to normal for me. I however tend to eat too fast from time to time which gets me. I'm down 56 in a yr and 27 since Oct 15. My goal is to be under 200 by Christmas, which I should hit as if this morning the scale said 200.2. Im once again joining the gym today. I thought I had lose flabby skin before, but you should see my arms and legs. Not good. How's things going with you?
  8. I'm so sorry you are going through this. I would have your dr help you appeal your case because they know more about your health then the insurance company. Please don't say that you're a huge, fat, disappointment to yourself and everyone else. KEEP your head up!

    October List of Surgery's

I'm 8 weeks post op and have lost 23 pounds. My vitamin D was in normal range and I'm cleared to eat lettuce, rice, pasta, and bread. I just need to be careful with it. Some days I still struggle with cravings and being hungry. I try to chase off my cravings by drinking flavored water and using positive self talk. This is my story for today.

    time it takes to eat

Dying as in hungry or pain wise from eating too fast? Eat small bites and chew, chew, chew. I had surgery Oct 15 and was just cleared yesterday to eat rice and to get careful with it as it can clump and get stuck. When I've eaten too fast and get food stuck, I have to make myself throw up in order to get it unstuck. Take cheese and crackers to work for a quick simple lunch. That's what I do and it seems to work or maybe yogurt or cottage cheese. Hope this helps.

    October List of Surgery's

I got the go ahead to eat all foods. That includes bread, rice, and pasta. She's pleases with the 21 pound loss and I don't go back until April. Saw the NUT for the first time since surgery in Oct. I don't go back to her for about 6 months. That's my update for now. How is everyone else doing?

    time it takes to eat

I saw my NUT for the first time since my surgery on October 15. She said to take at least 20 min. At times I forget and I pay the price. I've always been a fast eater and to slow down is hard for me. Saw my dr today and she's pleased with the 21 pound loss and told me to weigh once a week and to stop worrying about others losing faster than I am.

    October List of Surgery's

I had a horrible weekend. I are donuts and a couple bites of my bday cake without getting sick. I see the dr on Tues for a check up and I will finally see the NUT do the first time since surgery on Oct 15. I'm down 21 pounds and still have 80 to go. I'm going to Vegas in Feb and want to be down another 40. I know my protein isn't where it needs to be and my fluids are hit and miss once in a while. What's everyone else been doing to hit their goals? That should have said I ate
