I am returning to work on 6/27--Monday. I work at a skilled nursing/retirement community. I have co-workers who have had WLS. My direct supervisor is the one who has given me grief about my surgery. She controls it all. I am worried about this same type of retaliation. I had another nurse ask me why I would have this surgery if I could lose on the pre-op diet. I explained to her I can only lose so much on my own and then I re-gain. The worst comment--"I hope you are gonna stick to this since you are going to so much trouble!" Crazy. People feel very free to comment. I paid for the surgery-and I didn't make the decision lightly. 10 years I contemplated about this life change. I'm so glad I finally made the choice. 3 weeks on tomorrow. Went for my follow up appointment today. Moved to the soft foods stage. I, too am now worried a bit about bad habits. I have been very much to the rules, so I know I just need to stick to the plan. If you haven't tried the fat free Fairlife Milk--it is so good. 13 grams of protein per serving. Really good. I'm two weeks out today. I stayed two nights. I had severe nausea and vomiting. Pain wasn't controlled well by the meds. Normally it is a one night stay with my surgeon. I had VSG. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

@@Km77942009 I can only speak about my own experience. I am not having any hunger pains. I do feel very weak at times. I am 10 days post op today. I had good luck with unjury chicken soup flavor. I am not a sweets fan, so this saltier liquid Protein worked well for me. It doesn't taste like broth at all to me.
