  1. I need that reminder like everyday. I may tattoo "let it go" on my forehead. The first thing to go when I'm an emotional train wreck and a hot mess is my diet. I will either not eat for days and then binge on bad things or eat EVERYTHING in sight all day. I had my awful week last week. Im pre op and dieting before my liquid diet and I was so well and then last week I gained weight. This week in going to try to work out when I'm stressed out. Usually when I'm upset I come home from work and go straight to bed. I'm going to try to work out when I feel I need a nap. Even just taking a walk or something. Trying to implement new coping skills aside from food.
  2. Starting weight: 284 (Blegh I fell off my diet right after Halloween and gained some weight). Goal weight: 270 I'm hoping to be 280 before my surgery in a few weeks (God willing.)
  3. I believe my aunt and uncle's has some ridiculous warranty for like 15 years or something.
  4. I kind of want to go ahead and start my pre op liquid diet so when they call with my approval I can get scheduled sooner. I know this is what I want and need. But this is what I always do, my husband says I "hold onto stuff too long" and change my mind. I'm just ready. Now that I've jumped through the hoops I'm just ready.
  5. I feel my post op diet is a bit much sometimes. 2 week liquid pre op then 4 weeks liquid post op then 4 weeks Pureed and 4 weeks soft food. But I'm going to do it. No one asked me what I thought lol.
  6. "What if I fail" mainly goes through my head. I've been on this pre pre op diet since September and was doing really well, lost 13 lbs and this weekend I slipped up due to stress and I'm afraid I'll just continue to slip up.
  7. After being in the process since August, and completed my last requirement yesterday I think I'm starting to talk myself out of getting surgery. I don't really have any reason not to have the surgery. I don't know how I feel anymore.
  8. Mine was definitely my car accident 4 years ago and resulting back injury and surgeries. My activity level dropped to almost nothing. I was in grad school in a college town and you could walk everywhere!!! Then all of a sudden I couldn't walk. Afterwards I would have a surgery feel ok for a bit and go back to the gym and ultimately do something to hurt myself again and have to stop.
  9. My spine surgeon suggested a sleep number bed to me. We're waiting until we buy a house and get a king sized one. In the mean time I got one of those hybrid spring mattresses with gel foam and stuff. It's ok most nights. Sometimes I feel like I kind sink in it so we added another firm mattress pad and that's helped.
  10. I think I did ok. I turned it in this morning for a reading and may have to do tonight if it was invalid. I kicked my husband out of bed and slept like a baby lol.
  11. All hooked up for my home sleep study.
  12. My insurance didn't require a pre op diet at all.
  13. Glad that you're moving right along! I'm hanging in there thanks. I pick up my equipment tomorrow and will use it for two nights. So fingers crossed it works out.
  14. I think I'm well hydrated. I drink about 60-64 ounces of Fluid (Water, flavored water, unsweet tea, etc). I'll check magnesium out.
  15. Nothing seems to be helping so far. Now I have muscle cramps almost everywhere. Maybe I'm getting sick.
  16. Mine has that stipulation here in Ohio. But I knew about it up front and made sure the hospital was approved.
  17. Damnit. Now I want to know if he went and told that doctor off.
  18. Im pre op. I'm eating all my Protein and cut out all most all of my junk food and carbs and stuff. I've lost 13 lbs so far since August. I'm having some serious muscle cramps in my legs after walking for the past week or so. Nothing intense. No marathons or anything. I was thinking it was related to my spinal injury but this pain is else where. I made a doctors appointment to rule that out. Anyone experience this? Thoughts on what to do?
  19. What about an FAQ on "what I should do when I get butt hurt?"
  20. Was he a troll? I think he was a troll.
  21. Im pre op and not a veteran or anything but I'm replying to every pissy post with
  22. I had ice cream because I was weak. A hot fudge sundae no less. Luckily I'm pre op but I'm still trying really hard to just stop all this junk food eating. But I did it. Now I'm going to move on and try to eat better. But no candy. Or cupcakes at a wedding. So I'm not sure which is worse lol. I guess eating all 3 would be.
