Sophie74656 replied to Thomas CPA's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories

Insurance Appeal
Sophie74656 replied to Sophie74656's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, his insurance says a BMI of 35 with a comorbidity such as diabetes should qualify. He is diabetic and I'm sure he has apnea. So he should have been approved. I'm really hoping someone just overlooked something. My mother is going to call herself tomorrow and talk to the insurance but he is so upset right now. -
I apologize in advance if I'm going to offend anyone first of all I want to say this place is awesome, a great resource of support and personal experiences But I am seeing posts here that kind of confuse me. I understand each doctor is different and some are more thorough than others. But I don't understand when I see posts that ask such basic post op questions like how much Water or Protein they should be having, or specifically what they should be eating. I think it's great that people can come here and ask questions and see what other people are going through. But there are things that you should be getting from your doctor or nutritionist, not an online message board I wonder if it's that some people are going into surgery not having done much research, or is it that some doctors or nutritionists are not educating people well. My team was so amazing, I had so much information given to me that by the time I had my sleeve I felt like I could be a nutritionist myself

Hello ONEDERLAND!!

I just bought smaller rings since nothing I owned was very expensive. I'm getting divorced so I haven't had to worry about resizing my engagement/wedding rings LOL I didn't know arm spanks were a thing.

Hey guys I am starting to reserch plastic surgery and just looking for people's experiences. Overall I would like arms, breast lift, thigh lift, and my pani(sp?) removed. I'm concerned about the pain an length of recovery.

Beginning the research
Sophie74656 replied to Sophie74656's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Has anyone had insurance cover any of their surgery? I could probably get documentation that I have skin irritation from my doctor and if anyone is in new jersey and can recommend a plastic surgeon for a consult that would be awesome -
Beginning the research

Thanks. I know it will be worth it, just as the sleeve itself was. I'm not as concerned with the pain, I have a good pain tolerance. I'm more worried about how much time off of work I will need. -

Oh my god you guys I have a date. I've been texting with this guy all weekend and we really hit it off and have a lot on common. We agreed to meet on Tuesday. I'm so nervous. I'm going to go vomit. Sent from my LGLS991 using the BariatricPal App

I've thought about that. Even if I never hear from him after tomorrow, chatting with him has been fun and a nice little ego boost.

Oh I think that's a good one, coffee, nice and casual...How do you feel about talking about the sleeve? I think it's a very personal thing. I probably wouldn't until down track. But that's just me. Whatever you feel comfortable with. I don't think it's first date information but if i feel like there could be potential for a long term thing i would mention it after a few dates Sent from my LGLS991 using the BariatricPal App

It's after work on Tuesday. We agreed on coffee or something casual. I haven't mentioned my sleeve to him yet

I received a message from someone on facebook that I didn't know, but they mentioned that my (soon to be ex) husband is involved in a new relationship. I didn't know who sent me the message and I didn't think much of it...at first. Eventually curiosity got the best of me and I did a tiny bit of looking around. For the record we have been separated for 6 months and have not started formal divorce paperwork yet. I went to her facebook page and there are tons of pictures of the two of them, hugging, kissing, etc. Now, I hate to say negative things about other people's appearance, but...she's much larger than ever was even before surgery, and her face...well I just hope she has a nice personality. I'm sure I'm biased against her but it was really a kick in the gut. I know I shouldn't feel like this. He cheated on me, he made me feel bad about myself, he disrespected me, he ignored me, he never wanted to spend time with m, ehe put my needs last...I know I'm better off without him. But I feel so rejected and hurt. I can't help this feeling of "you dumped me for THAT?" I just needed to get that off my chest.

I had some a couple of months out. Be careful because popcorn is a slider

weight loss with the sleeve can be fast. I was loosing a pound a day in the beginning. In almost a year I have lost 200 lbs including my pre op loss...for reference the skin is a concern, but it's better to have loose skin than to be overweight and unhealthy in my opinion

In about a month a close cousin of mine is getting married. I actually found a dress that I like and that looks good on me. So now I have no idea what kind of purse to wear. I need to buy one but I don't know what someone my age (33) should wear, what color it should be, a clutch or shoulder strap..... the dress is navy and the shoes will probably be black HELP!

Is it still cheating if...
Sophie74656 replied to CaliGirl77's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If it's not on your diet then, yes, it is cheating. I would be using this time to make mental changes as well, don't think about cheaing, think about sticking to your diet. -
Officially 200 lbs lost!!

My socail life hasn't changed much. I'm an introvert without many friends so I don't go out much, and I don't drink. But the times I have gone out nobody noticed or cared how little I ate. Just don't draw attention to it and nobody notices.

all of the ones closed by me. I like Snap fitness. They are little gyms that are 24 hours. You get a swipe card and can go whenever you want, and there's usually very few people there. You can get a free trial for a month (Or maybe it was a few dollars)

I really do need to stay away from Facebook

Just having one of those days when I feel so depresswd for no real reason. Have to try really hard to keep it together at work, but had to take a few breaks tp go to the bathroom for a cry break. Have no desire to eat really. And just feeling so lonely. Also found out my almost ex husband is dating someone. We haven't even started any divorce processes yet and that just ripped me up inside. Kills me to see how happy he is without me. Been drowning my sorrows in some old favorite shows on Netflix. Don't know why I posted really just have nobody to talk to.
