  2. 10 months out and I have been drinking 90+ oz. for about 5-6 months now. Don't matter if it's cold or room temp. But I'm no longer fond of plain Water. I need some flavor to it. Even if it's just lemon juice. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  4. @@Renkoss not all rules are set in stone. I take a diuretic for a medical condition (not WLS related) and my WLS team has never advised to drink extra Water. I was also told that I can continue drinking coffee as normal and I come from a Cuban culture. We drink a lot of espresso! Different strokes for different folks I guess!!
  5. I flavor my Water every day. I use the Crush flavor packs. They come in orange, grape and strawberry. I also use CL and Walmart has their own version which is my all time favorite!!!! They have many flavors, but cherry limeade is Play with your options if it means getting all your water in!!!
  6. Daily weigh-ins can be maddening when they go in the wrong direction (or just won't budge) but it's your best friend when you're losing!!! I have a love/hate thang with it!! Smile people, it's really not that serious!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. That's funny, I about had a panic attack in the hospital when I had to drink for the first time. I mean sweating and shaky hands... it's not all that bad though, good luck!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I wasn't sufficiently explained how this process is just about as tough mentally as it is physically. probably harder Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  12. Hello, I am also in south Florida. Although I did not have the heart issues you do, I was 37 years old and 348lbs. I couldn't even wash dishes without being in excruciating pain. Hell, it was even getting hard to wipe my own ass! I've lost 138lbs and can't really believe I let myself go that far. I now love myself again! I love myself for being brave enough to want to live!! And what do u know? I'm actually finding myself kinda cute now too. WLS has done so many things for me. I ride bike with my kids, dance salsa & merengue with my son (trying to teach him) for many, many songs. I can even wear heels! That's pretty awesome if you ask me! Blood pressure is back to normal as well as cholesterol and triglycerides! Yep, I think I made the right decision. Good luck!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  14. Everything @@smg said!!! Perfectly stated and exactly what I do with my family!! Good luck, BTW in the future if you ever "need" to eat at McDonald's (I understand it happens) you can ask them for a plain grilled chicken breast with cheese. I really enjoy it, most McDonald's cater to your specific needs. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Last time I went to Disney World I was more like pooh sized riding on top of Eeyore!!! 348 pounds!! And I did fine!!! The magic kingdom in particular is very fat friendly with their rides. You'll be fine!! Disney is my favorite place on earth. Enjoy!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. Well at least you're seeing the scale go down on a weekly basis. I lose 4-6 pounds in a week then stall the remaining of the month, gaining a pound then losing it again until I drop the next significant 4-6 pounds again. It's very frustrating to be dieting and exercising and be stalled for 3-4 weeks!! Admittedly, I haven't been exercising as much as I should. I'm just sort of depressed and exercise is the farthest thing on my mind right now. Financial burdens are a bitch. Especially when my kids are on summer break and want to be on vacations and trips like their friends. And.... My daughter got her bicycle stolen and my sons chain popped right off the bike. That was our fun family activity. Not to mention my favorite exercise!!! I guess I just wish I could see some better results after struggling with everything I put in my mouth. Thanks for listening! You're a doll!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Good morning beautiful people!!! I have a question, do you guys think our weight loss is pretty much done? I hope not. I really want to lose more! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. @@OKCPirate thanks for the links. I, many years ago, was a pharmacy manager for a compound pharmacy here in Miami, we had a patient, who became addicted to her testosterone troche and said she just had never felt alive before her testosterone replacement therapy. I should've thought about that!! Thanks again for the great articles!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. I also take Centrum but my PCP wants me to take chewables so long as I can tolerate them. She says they're just easier to digest so why not. ???? I guess... I mean they don't taste bad,& labs were good,so I'll keep buying them. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. So, I had blood work for the first time since surgery (10 months ago) and what do you know? Everything was on point. Thank God. Except, my progesterone...hmm...how did my progesterone become almost non existent? No wonder I had no libido. Started on oral progesterone and once my TOM shows up, I can start BC pills!! So, question is... Have any of you suffered from hormonal imbalance (other than moodiness) after surgery or is this just coincidence?? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
