Because if so, I am the newest member!! As of today I am 101lbs down.
wow! I never thought a year ago when I sat and watched youtube videos on sleeve gastrectomy that this is where I would be a year later.
Anyone who is not completely sold on surgery ...... I can't even begin to tell you the many ways that it is worth it and more!
I am comfortable in my clothing (when they are not falling off because they are too big! lol)
I don't feel like people stare and judge me if I eat in public
I don't feel like people "notice" me at all, Im just another average person in the crowd
I am much more confident
My self esteem is crazy.....
I feel NORMAL! if there is such a thing....
So, who else is in the 100lbs down club?

My insurance specifically does not cover any bariatric surgery. I ended up going to Mexico and had a wonderful experience. I bragged so much about it, my nephew and brother in law, both have gone down there and had their sleeves done. Mine cost me $4400 and $200 for my airfare, which is about my insurances deductible. Good luck on your journey!

My surgeon has ok'd the ketorlac but honestly I have had no need to used it since my surgery almost 2 years ago. The Dihydroergotomine takes care of my Migraine on the first dose and if by some chance it doesn't I choose to go to sleep. After a 2nd dose which I have literally done twice in seven years, it always goes away.
Even though they told me ketorlac is ok in the injection form, I choose not to use any NSAIDs for anything. I have even added it to my allergy list.

Your advice to find a neurologist that is board certified in headache medicine is SPOT ON! People do not realize that there really is a significant difference in that specialty.

As of yesterday, I have lost 134lbs and now weigh under 200lbs!!
I had my surgery January 11.
Start weight was 333.1
Yesterday's weight 199.1
As someone who has spent the majority of my adult life weighing well over 300lbs, this is a huge accomplishment for me. I never thought I would get to this weight. I cried when I saw the scale yesterday.
When I had wls, I never really picked a number I wanted to get to as a goal weight....all I wanted was that number to start with a 1!!! Now that I'm here, I feel there's nothing I can't accomplish. I'm still not sure where I want to be yet, but my next goal will be to get to 180lbs.

That is, today I am not obese. At least according to the BMI charts. Two years post LapBand. My ultimate goal is to achieve a normal BMI. I don't know if I'll ever get there, but I'll just keep doing what I'm doing. I think the last time I was at this weight was 1992.

My ex-husband used to refuse to sleep with me because I am fat. He would even hesitate to pose with me in pictures. Now, this is a guy who is obese and has high cholesterol. Yes, I'm fat, but I exercise 5-6 days a week at an intense level, and my labs are better than a teenager's. Like you, my BMI was just over 35, and I almost didn't qualify for surgery. I lived with the a*****e because I wanted my child to have an intact family. Then I decided that I did not have to take his bullshit, and got a divorce. I'm much happier now. I'm getting a VSG tomorrow to Celebrate the 1 year anniversary of my divorce. Remember, nobody can make you feel bad without your permission!!

I totally understand new confidence and an absolute love of the new attention. Here are my thoughts about this situation:
- if you're this close to straying, maybe your current girlfriend is not the best match for you.
- would this new girl you like have been interested in you however many pounds ago? Would she have given you a second look before? Is that something that would bother you?
- the attention you're getting now is utterly superficial. the attention your girlfriend gave(gives) you is not.
the bottom line is that if you are able to seriously lust after someone who is not your so and are even contemplating leaving her for greener pastures, you're really not doing you or her any favors by continuing this way. You're just limiting yourself and you're making her watch as you slowly slip away from her, who loved you before you dropped weight, to other people who are only interested in you now that you're more conventionally attractive.
Good luck to you. These are the issues no doctor ever mentions, and no one can really help us with after major weight loss. We have to recreate entire new self-images and identities. Just make sure you're keeping a little perspective while that's happening.

Firstly, you look great.. But secondly, remember who's been there when you were bigger and loved you regardless. Remember who helped you through surgery and recovery.. And has put up with this process and held your hand every step of the way. New attention is good, but remember who was there and what that means.

Well done on your weight loss. This time last year I was wearing UK size 20 jeans and now I am parading in a pair of size 12 UK jeans. It's true nothing tastes as good as being slim feels. My brother my fiercest critic says I look normal now, and that's all I ever wanted to look was normal.
Well done to all of us who took the step of having weight loss surgery, it's the best thing I ever did and the best use of my money ever ( I was self pay in UK)

I personally think everyone goes through a period of buyers remorse at the beginning but it does pass .
