http://imgur.com/fWK2zPV New ink to celebrate being almost a year post op and losing almost 220 pounds! I drew it myself, and I couldn't be happier! :'D

11 months post-RNY today. I did my usual weighing/measuring/etc, and though I only lost 6 pounds in the last month, I did lose a couple inches. Plodding along now... I've lost 168 since surgery and at least 223 pounds overall. I have not made the goal weight that I had for myself at the beginning of this year, and I'm still 219 pounds, but I now realize that I truly don't care. I'm healthy, happy, and I don't hate the way I look in the mirror. Everything that comes after this is just gravy.

Being tested hard today. It's been one self-esteem hit after another since I woke up, and all I want to do is hide in my room and eat ramen noodles, and I can no longer do that to soothe myself. Today really stinks.

Does anyone else have periods of time when you can only eat a certain thing, and everything else repulses you? Or am I just crazy?

Finally found a way around my egg avulsion - simple and delicious 5-minute egg drop soup! 1.5 cups of water, a bit of bouillon, some garlic and paprika, and two eggs beat together. Perfect meal, 13 grams of protein.

Finally lighter than my boyfriend! SCORE!

Goodbye 230s, hello 220s!

Had my first physical therapy/workout session since surgery today. I don't think I've ever been this exhausted, but it also feels good to know I'm finally getting my body back.

Happy 5 months post op to me! I'm 95 pounds down since surgery and 150 pounds down overall!

Hello BP pals! I'm finally home from my three week vacation in San Diego. I somehow managed to lose 9 pounds while I was there, despite really relaxing and eating a lot of naughty foods (nothing too naughty!). How is everyone doing?

Hey all! Enjoying this misty, chilly Autumn day? I sure am! I just wanted to share the recipe for this super yummy, fast, easy, and healthy eggdrop soup I've been making a lot lately, as it seems like the perfect meal for us on a day like this. It's very simple! Put two cups of water on to boil, and while that's heating up, add some bouillon (I use 1 tbs of Better Than Bouillon beef or chicken. Both are delicious! Today was beef.), a dash of lemon juice, and whatever spices you love. My soup today has cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, paprika, and a little dash of curry. While the water continues to heat up, beat two eggs really well with a little bit of milk in a separate bowl. You'll want to get the eggs as uniform in consistency as possible. By this time, your water will be boiling. Turn off the heat, but leave the pot on the burner, and slowly pour your eggs/milk mixture into the boiling broth. And now you're done! Pour into a bowl, curl up with a cozy blanket, and enjoy. This soup only takes about 7 minutes to make, tastes delicious, and contains 12 grams of protein. I normally eat half of it and save the other half for later. Pretty wonderful!

I AM FREAKING OUT. I just got home from a loooong day of class (12 hours) and I weighed out of curiosity... and I am UNDER 200! I'm glad no one was here with me to see me breaking down and sobbing like a toddler but my goodness! I can't believe I'm here, and it actually happened! Please celebrate this moment with me! http://imgur.com/a/4RcuL
