  1. My port is actually on my side on the right. My biggest problem is from the car seatbelt rubbing it when I'm driving. I have an ugly scar there as well. When I had lost 50lbs, it really protruded out. It's embarrassing. It looks like a tumor.
  2. He says some are different than others. Mine appears bruised all the time I think. It really grosses my kids out. Mine is on my side, where is yours?
  3. My port sticks out horribly. It's been 2.5 years and I can't bear to have people see it. It's hard under my skin and my kids can feel it when they hug me. sigh...
  4. Do you know what size your band is? How many cc does it hold? If you band is too tight, don't let it go on like that. It can cause strictures of the stomach. That's what happened to me. I didn't do anything about it because I was losing weight and I just had to put up with throwing up on occasion. It seemed like a good trade off at the time. Now I've had nothing but problems since they did the procedure that fixed the stricture problem.
  5. I had my band installed Dec 2007. I had a fill in Feb 2008 that did not provide any restriction. I had another fill in May 2008 that also did not provide enough restriction. I didn't lose any weight during the first 5 months. Then I finally got a fill that started providing weight loss. It was slow and it was almost a year before I lost 50lbs. I felt starving the entire time. I was always hungry. The band just restricted my eating but I was never satisfied...
  6. So what happened, are you feeling better?
