  8. Tomorrow is my surgery day. I'm feeling a lot. I'm so excited. I'm so ready to change my life. But I'm also terrified of complications, infection, death... and the usual stuff. My husband is taking me. And we have a two year old son who is our heartbeat. He's a major reason I'm doing this. I want to be so healthy for him. so I can play harder and lead by example. I have battled obesity since 2nd grade. In the midst of really healthy parents and siblings. I've been obese. I have PCOS, uncontrolled type two diabetes, and high blood pressure is creeping in... Oh I'm 24. I know this Vsg is my tool. It's all I have left. I've done and tried everything. Of course I have emotional connection to food, but, I do feel like my body has never told me "no" before and it finally will. I never feel full and keep eating so I know this tool is right for me. I'm having surgery at Emory John's Creek in Alpharetta Ga with Dr. Khan. Please send good vibes or pray for the surgery and my healing and the surgeons hands. HW: 274 CW: 264 GW: 160 or just... Healthy. I can do this I can do this I can do this. I backed out once. Today is all liquids. It's the only pre op diet I have. I just don't want any complications. Thanks for reading. Here we go. I don't think I'll stop thinking about it today. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  19. Anyone's surgeon operate regardless of blood sugar levels/ a1c? Had my pre op today and levels were very very high. I'm afraid they'll cancel. Apart of the reason I'm getting sleeved is to help with my blood sugar spikes. I'm trying to avoid insulin as is my PCP. Haven't been on medication this week as I've run out. My surgery is Tuesday. Will they post pone? Did your surgeon not post pone? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. When were y'all cleared to swim post gastric sleeve operation? I'm a nanny/ have a two year old. They are all swimmers. Just wanting to get your thoughts (and am talking to surgeon Monday) about your clearence to swim. Surgery is 6/7! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Tuesday 6/7 is my surgery day. I'm starting to get anxious. I've been working through my emotional eating and the whys and ins and outs. I've been in counseling for the last two years. I've noticed how MUCH I put food in my mouth and how food is such a clutch and "friend" to me. It has been my whole life. I'm also so READY and so excited for this surgery and can't wait to see results and finally have this tool. It's the last resort. I've done everything. I'm 24. I have a two year old. I'm in school full time and work full time. I have 9 days off. I'm anxious about recovery. The physical and the emotional and mental aspect. I'm also diabetic and need this surgery to get my diabetes under control. Please. Any encouragement? Any advice? Anything. I'm getting anxious. Two years ago I had a traumatic emergency surgery. It was terrible and scarring so I think that's a trigger. I have no pre op diet just a 24 hour. I've ordered unflavored Protein to put on Jello and in broth for first week. Any food addicts out there that have done really well? I cannot fail. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
