  8. From days 3-10 I really really struggled with buyers remorse. I wanted to eat and chew so bad. Yes. I cried. Haha. I didn't feel hungry but my body was all freaky (hormones, lack of carbs, majors surgery, etc) so I thought I was so stinking hungry. Your hunger may be very real and if so sip on something to drink or try a sugar free Popsicle. Those helped so much. Now I have real hunger. And I gotta eat when I gotta eat. Haha. this does pass. Really it does. And I remember everyone telling me that two weeks ago. It gets better. I hope you feel better! Sip sip sip. And definitely do everything in your power to find things you love to do that don't involve food. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Out of curiosity what kind of exercise are you doing? HW 341 lbs 07/19/16 - 298 lbs 08/09/16 DOS - 286 lbs CW 270 lbs Hi! I walk everyday for 30 minutes minimum. I walk my neighborhoods trails. But I take my two year old so I'm pushing him in the stroller. Taking it easy. At one month post op I'll start Zumba. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. Okay. Milk of magnesia is not workin. Drinking fluids and walking. Any other input to get these suckers flowin? 19 days post op. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I didn't have an official puréed stage. But it was recommended that if something was super thick or had chunks to dilute. Depending on what you're allowed, I did enjoy soft cheese, refried Beans with cheese, runny scrambled eggs, Peanut Butter (check with your nutritionist) and I had mashed potatoes once, I also enjoyed SF pudding (slider food; be careful) and the ricotta bake. Basically anything you're allowed just in apple sauce consistency. And I loved no sugar added apple sauce occasionally. As far as vitamins go, some surgeons allow gummy vitamins. If so, I'm taking a multi with Calcium and Iron in gummy form right now. It goes down easily. But check with team! You're going to do great!! Enjoy your new foods this week Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Thank you!! We got this Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. You'll do great!! It's more in our heads than anything else. Mind over matter. You got this. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. Thoroughly looking forward to next weeks meal prep! Breakfast eggs cups, lean turkey burgers, and crockpot chicken thighs for the win. Got Protein? 18 days post op and I'm allowed meats, softened veggies, and surgeon gave the go ahead to introduce foods as tolerated by the end of next week! Woo hoo! I am feeling fantastic and my sleeve is tolerating foods and liquids nicely! No nausea (yet!) I am able to gulp (I missed gulping) and I have several cues as to when I am satisfied. No dumping. No heart burn and introduced meats three days ago. I am exercising daily 30-60 minutes. Down almost 27 pounds and though I haven't lost in a few days I am doing well. Craving carbs but it passes. The first week, I was miserable (not physically) but the head hunger was just pathetic. Now, doing better. Grateful I've yet to have complications or reactions to food, im sure it'll come. I love eggs, love Protein shakes, love turkey, and love chickfila diet lemonade (I know. Not the best. But yay for fluids!) more money in my pocket as I'm not eating out everyday. If you're a few days out and feeling hopeless or sick or aggravated or having buyers remorse... KEEP GOING. It does get easier. And yes. I'm only 18 days out. And it's already easier. Yay for this tool!! Hw:276 Sw:264.5 CW:238 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Every surgeons post op plan is different. My surgeon has one week liquids and second week soft/ puréed foods. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Phew. So hot here! Pace yourself. I have felt dizzy when I stand up quickly but it's subsiding. I drink throughout the day. I just wait 30 min after I eat. I count my Protein shakes as fluids too. Water + lemon Powerade zero And diet lemonade from chickfila have been my favorite. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. Also, everyone's post op plan is different. But, pre op, I was eating crazy amounts of food. Probably 3,000-4,000 a day! And now, 600 at most, it's a major decline in calories. Its all how you progress too, some people don't handle certain foods/ stages well. I will probably come across many foods that are no no's to my new tummy. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I have a two year old so I get some good workouts just by being a mom to him and his crazy self! Haha. I got cleared to work out one week post op. I walk everyday. Starting out easy. So, I usually walk for 30 minutes a day. Get sweaty, get my heart racing. But make sure you hydrate. We aren't getting as much fluids so sweating can easily lead us to dehydration. I'm in GA and it's HOT!!! So I make sure to drink drink drink. I am able to gulp more now. Which is nice. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. My food is spread out during the day. Every two hours or so I eat something. Sometimes longer gaps. Measuring food in ounces will be your best bet. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. Okay. I'm 16 days post op. And hungry. Not head hunger. But literally hungry. Craving all healthy and allowed foods. Surgeon says give or take 400-600 calories a day. I'm eating about 500ish now. For example today I've had: (~580 calories) Two eggs Two Protein shakes 2 ounces of lean turkey burger Half banana & 1/2 tbsp of pb (ALL allowed foods) And no tightness, I'm feeling satisfied, stopping when my "signs" come to stop. I have had ZERO issues with any new foods. No nausea, no "stuck" feelings, no pain, no acid reflux, no heart burn, etc. I'm down ~ 27 pounds. Exercising every day, getting all fluids and protein in. Is this normal? To be hungry, eat, and feel okay? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Yep. My first week post op I was on the pot the majority of the time. It should pass! Make sure your drinking lots of fluids. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. I'm almost two weeks post op. Blood pressure is normal, blood sugar is normal, getting 64 ounces + a day liquids, and plenty of Protein yet I get light headed and dizzy when I stand up. Hmph. I'll talk to my team but wanted to check here first, see if anyone can relate or had similar issues. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. Just like we aren't supposed to drink and eat at the same time, anyone know the rule with Protein shakes and other fluids? Is it the same? I would realllllly love some Water right nowwww but just drank a Protein shake. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
