High blood sugars pre op

Anyone's surgeon operate regardless of blood sugar levels/ a1c? Had my pre op today and levels were very very high. I'm afraid they'll cancel. Apart of the reason I'm getting sleeved is to help with my blood sugar spikes. I'm trying to avoid insulin as is my PCP. Haven't been on medication this week as I've run out. My surgery is Tuesday. Will they post pone? Did your surgeon not post pone?

My surgeon won't do surgery unless I get my A1C down to 7

You will just have to see what they say. I was controlled at a 6, 6.5. You heal slower with high blood sugars. Nothing you can do about it now but wait and see.
